箴言

第14章

1 智慧婦人建立家室；愚妄婦人，卻［but］親手拆毀。

2 行動正直的，敬畏耶和華；行事乖僻的，卻藐視他。

3 愚妄人口中乃驕傲的杖［In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride］；唯［but］智慧人的嘴必保守自己。

4 家裏無牛，槽頭乾淨；土產加多乃憑牛力。

5 忠信的［faithful］見證人不說謊話；假見證人，卻［but］吐出謊言。

6 褻慢人尋智慧，卻尋不著；但［but］聰明人易得知識。

7 你既不見愚昧人嘴中有知識，就當從他面前遠離［Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge］。

8 通達人的智慧在乎明白己道；愚昧人的愚妄乃是自欺［deceit］。

9 愚妄人犯罪，以為戲耍［Fools make a mock at sin］；義人卻［but among the righteous］互相喜悅。

10 心中的苦楚，自己知道；心裏的喜樂，外人無干。

11 奸惡人的房屋必傾倒；但［but］正直人的帳棚必興盛。

12 有一條路，人以為正，至終卻［but］成為死亡之路。

13 人在喜笑中，心也憂愁；快樂至極就生愁苦。

14 心中背道的，必滿有自己的道路［filled with his own ways］；善人必從自己得以知足［shall be satisfied from himself］。

15 愚蒙人是話都信；唯［but］通達人步步謹慎。

16 智慧人懼怕，就遠離惡事；愚妄人卻狂傲自恃。

17 輕易發怒的，行事愚妄；設立惡［wicked］計的，被人恨惡。

18 愚蒙人得愚昧為產業；但［but］通達人得知識為冠冕。

19 壞人屈身［bow］在善人面前；惡人俯伏在義人門口。

20 貧窮人連鄰居也恨他；富足人朋友卻為［but］最多。

21 藐視鄰居的，這人有罪；唯［but］憐憫貧窮的，這人有福。

22 謀惡的，豈非走入迷途嗎？唯有［but］謀善的，必得慈愛和誠實。

23 諸般勤勞都有益處；嘴上多言，卻［but］徒［only］致窮乏。

24 智慧人的財為自己的冠冕；愚妄人的愚昧乃是［is］愚昧。

25 作真見證的，救人性命；作詭詐見證的，卻吐謊言［a deceitful witness speaketh lies］。

26 敬畏耶和華的，大有倚靠；他的兒女也有避難所。

27 敬畏耶和華就是生命的泉源，可以使人離開死亡的網羅。

28 帝王榮耀在乎民多；君王衰敗卻在［but in］民少。

29 不輕易發怒的，大有聰明；靈性［spirit］暴躁的，反［but］顯愚妄。

30 心中靈明［sound］是肉體的生命；嫉妒卻［but］是骨中的朽爛。

31 欺壓貧寒的，是辱沒他的造物主［his Maker］；尊敬他的，卻憐憫窮乏人［but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor］。

32 惡人在所行的惡上必被逐去［driven away］；義人臨死卻有［but］盼望［hath hope］。

33 智慧存在聰明人心中；愚昧人心裏所存的，卻［but］顯而易見。

34 公義使邦國高舉；罪惡卻［but］是人民的羞辱。
