2 Wer mit dem Allmächtigen7706 hadern7378 will, soll‘s ihm der nicht beibringen? Und wer GOtt433 tadelt3198, soll‘s der nicht verantworten6030?

3 Then Job347 answered6030 the LORD,3068 and said,559

3 Hiob347 aber antwortete6030 dem HErrn3068 und sprach559:
|
|
4 Behold,2005 I am vile;7043 what4100 shall I answer7725 you? I will lay7760 my hand3027 on my mouth.6310

4 Siehe, ich bin zu leichtfertig gewesen7043, was soll ich antworten? Ich will7725 meine Hand3027 auf3926 meinen Mund6310 legen7760.

5 Once259 have I spoken;1696 but I will not answer:6030 yes, twice;8147 but I will proceed3254 no3808 further.

5 Ich habe1696 einmal259 geredet, darum will ich nicht3254 mehr antworten6030; hernach will ich‘s nicht mehr tun.

6 Then answered6030 the LORD3068 to Job347 out of the whirlwind,5591 and said,559

7 Gird247 up your loins2504 now4994 like a man:1397 I will demand7592 of you, and declare3045 you to me.

7 Gürte247 wie3045 ein Mann1397 deine Lenden2504; ich will dich fragen7592, lehre mich!
|
|
8 Will you also637 cancel6565 my judgment?4941 will you condemn7561 me, that you may be righteous?6663
|
8 Solltest du mein Urteil4941 zunichte machen6565 und mich verdammen7561, daß du gerecht6663 seiest?
|
|
9 Have you an arm2220 like God?410 or can you thunder7481 with a voice6963 like3644 him?
|
9 Hast du einen Arm2220 wie GOtt410 und kannst mit gleicher Stimme6963 donnern7481, als er tut?

10 Deck5710 yourself now4994 with majesty1347 and excellency;1363 and array3847 yourself with glory1935 and beauty.1926

10 Schmücke dich5710 mit Pracht1347 und erhebe dich1363; zeuch dich löblich und herrlich1935 an3847!

11 Cast6327 abroad6327 the rage5678 of your wrath:639 and behold7200 every3605 one that is proud,1343 and abase8213 him.

11 Streue aus6327 den Zorn639 deines Grimms5678; schaue an7200 die Hochmütigen1343, wo sie sind, und demütige8213 sie.

12 Look7200 on every3605 one that is proud,1343 and bring3665 him low;3665 and tread1915 down the wicked7563 in their place.8478

12 Ja, schaue7200 die Hochmütigen1343, wo sie3665 sind, und beuge sie und mache die GOttlosen7563 dünne, wo sie sind.

13 Hide2934 them in the dust6083 together;3162 and bind2280 their faces6440 in secret.2934

13 Verscharre2934 sie2934 miteinander3162 in6440 der Erde6083 und versenke2280 ihre Pracht ins Verborgene,

14 Then will I also1571 confess3034 to you that your own right3225 hand3225 can save3467 you.

14 so will ich dir auch bekennen3034, daß dir deine rechte Hand3225 helfen3467 kann.

15 Behold2009 now4994 behemoth,930 which834 I made6213 with you; he eats398 grass2682 as an ox.1241

15 Siehe, der Behemoth930, den ich neben dir gemacht habe6213, frißt398 Heu2682 wie ein Ochse1241.

16 See2009 now,4994 his strength3581 is in his loins,4975 and his force202 is in the navel8306 of his belly.990

|
17 He moves2654 his tail2180 like3644 a cedar:730 the sinews1517 of his stones6344 are wrapped8276 together.

23 Siehe, er schluckt6231 in sich den Strom5104 und achtet es nicht groß; läßt sich dünken982, er wolle den Jordan3383 mit seinem Munde6310 ausschöpfen1518.

24 He takes3947 it with his eyes:5869 his nose639 pierces5344 through snares.4170
|
24 Noch fähet man ihn mit seinen eigenen Augen5869, und durch Fallstricke durchbohret man ihm seine Nase639.
