Acts

Chapter 9

1 NOW Saul was still filled with anger and with threats of murder against the disciples of our LORD,

2 And he asked the high priests to give him letters to the synagogues at Damascus, that if he should find anyone, men or women, following this faith, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly a light from the sky shone round about him;

4 And he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? You make it hard for yourself by kicking against the pricks.

5 Saul answered and said, Who are you my LORD? and our LORD said, I am Jesus of Nazareth whom you persecute:

6 * And he, trembling and astonished, said, LORD, what will you have me to do? And the LORD said to him, Arise and go into the city, and there you will be told what you must do.

7 And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing only a voice, but seeing no man.

8 And Saul arose from the ground, but he could not see even though his eyes were open; and they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus.

9 And he was unable to see for three days during which he neither ate nor drank.

10 Now there was in Damascus a disciple named An-a-ni'as, and the LORD said to him in a vision, An-a-ni'as. And he said, Behold, I am here, my LORD.

11 And our LORD said to him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight and enquire at the house of Judas for Saul of the city of Tarsus: for behold, he is praying,

12 And he has seen in a vision a man named An-a-ni'as coming in and laying his hand on him to restore his sight.

13 Then An-a-ni'as said, My LORD, I have heard from many concerning this man, how much misery he has brought to your saints in Jerusalem.

14 And behold here also he has authority from the high priests to bind all who call on your name.

15 But the LORD said to him, Arise and go: he is the agent whom I have chosen for myself to carry my name to the Gentiles and kings, and the children of Israel:

16 For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

17 Then An-a-ni'as went to him at the house, and laying his hands on him, said, Saul, my brother, our LORD Jesus, who appeared to you on the way when you were coming, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

18 And in that hour, there fell from his eyes something like scales; and his eyesight was restored; and he arose and was baptized.

19 And when he had received food, he was strengthened, and he remained several days with the disciples in Damascus.

20 From that time on, he preached in the Jewish synagogues concerning Jesus, that he is the Son of God.

21 But all those who heard him were amazed and said: Is this not he who persecuted those who called on this name in Jerusalem and behold, he was sent here for that very purpose that he might bring them bound to the high priests?

22 But Saul became more powerful and he made the Jews who dwelt in Damascus tremble when he proved that Jesus is the Christ.

23 After he had been there many days, the Jews plotted against him to kill him.

24 But their conspiracy was made known to Saul, how they watched the gates of the city day and night to kill him.

25 Then the disciples placed him in a basket and let him down over the wall during the night.

26 Then Saul went to Jerusalem, and wanted to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, and could not believe that he was a convert.

27 But Bar'na-bas took him and brought him to the apostles, and told them how he had seen the LORD on the way, and how he had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken openly in the name of Jesus.

28 So he went in and out with them at Jerusalem.

29 And he spoke openly in the name of Jesus, and debated with the Jews who understood Greek: but they wanted to kill him.

30 And when the brethren knew it, they brought him by night to Cµs-a-re'a, and from thence they sent him to Tarsus.

31 Then the church throughout Judµa and Galilee and Samaria was at peace, and strengthened itself and developed obedience and reverence to God, and by the consola- tion of the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.

32 And it came to pass, while Simon Peter traveled to various cities, he came down also to the saints who dwelt at the city o· Lyd'da.

33 And there he found a man named ¦ æneas, who had been paralyzed and had lain in bed eight years.

34 And Simon Peter said to him, ¦ æne-as, Jesus Christ heals you: Arise, and make your bed. And he arose immediately.

35 And all who dwelt at Lyd'da and Sharon saw him and turned to God.

36 Now there was in the city of Joppa a woman disciple called Tab'i-tha, which means gazelle and interpreted Dorcas; she was rich in good works and in charitable acts.

37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: they bathed her, and laid her in an upper room.

38 And the disciples heard that Simon Peter was in the city of Lyd'da, which is beside Joppa; they sent to him two men, desiring him to come to them without delay.

39 Then Simon Peter arose and went with them. And when he had arrived, they took him to the upper room where all the widows were gathered around her weeping and they showed him shirts and cloaks which Tab'itha had given them when she was alive.

40 But Simon Peter put all the people out and knelt down and prayed; then he turned to the body and said, Tab'i-tha, arise. And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Simon Peter, she sat up.

41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up; then he called the saints and widows and presented her to them alive.

42 And this was known throughout the city and many believed in our LORD.

43 Peter remained in Joppa many days, staying at the house of Simon Bur-sa'ya, the tanner.

Kapitel 9

1 Saulus4569 aber1161 schnaubete noch2089 mit Dräuen und2532 Morden5408 wider die Jünger3101 des HErrn2962 und ging4334 zum1519 Hohenpriester749

3 Und1161 da1448 er846 auf dem Wege war4198 und2532 nahe an1722 Damaskus1154 kam1096, umleuchtete4015 ihn846 plötzlich1810 ein Licht5457 vom575 Himmel3772.

4 Und2532 er fiel4098 auf1909 die Erde1093 und hörete eine Stimme5456, die sprach3004 zu ihm: Saul4549, Saul4549, was5101 verfolgest du191 mich3165?

5 Er aber1161 sprach2036: HErr2962, wer5101 bist du1488? Der3739 HErr2962 sprach2036: Ich1473 bin1510 JEsus2424, den du4771 verfolgest. Es wird4314 dir4671 schwer4642 werden1377, wider den Stachel2759 lecken2979.

6 Und5037 er846 sprach2036 mit2532 Zittern5141 und2532 Zagen2284: HErr2962, was5101 willst2309 du2980, daß3165 ich tun4160 soll? Der HErr2962 sprach zu4314 ihm: Stehe auf450 und2532 gehe1525 in1519 die Stadt4172; da2532 wird man1163 dir4671 sagen, was5101 du4571 tun4160 sollst.

7 Die3588 Männer435 aber1161, die191 seine846 Gefährten waren4922, stunden und3303 waren erstarret; denn sie2476 höreten eine Stimme5456 und1161 sahen2334 niemand3367.

8 Saulus4569 aber1161 richtete sich848 auf1453 von575 der Erde1093, und1161 als er seine846 Augen3788 auftat455, sah991 er niemand3762. Sie nahmen5496 ihn aber1161 bei1519 der Hand und führeten ihn gen Damaskus1154.

9 Und2532 war2258 drei5140 Tage2250 nicht3361 sehend991 und25325315 nicht3756 und trank4095 nicht3761.

10 Es war2258 aber1161 ein5100 Jünger3101 zu1722 Damaskus1154 mit Namen3686 Ananias367; zu4314 dem sprach2036 der HErr2962 im1722 Gesichte: Ananias367! Und2532 er846 sprach2036: Hier bin ich1473, HErr2962.

11 Der HErr2962 sprach zu4314 ihm: Stehe auf450 und1161 gehe hin4198 in1722 die Gasse4505, die da heißet die Richtige, und2532 frage in dem3588 Hause3614 Judas2455 nach2212 Saulus4569 mit1909 Namen2564 von Tarsus5018; denn1063 siehe2400, er846 betet4336

12 und2532 hat gesehen1492 im Gesichte einen Mann435 mit Namen3686 Ananias367 zu1722 ihm hineinkommen1525 und2532 die Hand5495 auf2007 ihn legen2007, daß3704 er846 wieder sehend308 werde.

13 Ananias367 aber1161 antwortete611: HErr2962, ich habe191 von575 vielen4183 gehöret von4012 diesem5127 Manne435, wieviel3745 Übles2556 er deinen4675 Heiligen40 getan4160 hat zu1722 Jerusalem2419.

14 Und2532 er hat2192 allhie Macht1849 von3844 den Hohenpriestern749; zu binden1210 alle3956, die deinen4675 Namen3686 anrufen1941.

15 Der3778 HErr2962 sprach2036 zu4314 ihm: Gehe hin4198; denn dieser ist2076 mir3427 ein auserwählt Rüstzeug4632, daß3754 er846 meinen3450 Namen3686 trage941 vor1799 den Heiden1484 und1161 vor den Königen935 und2532 vor den Kindern von Israel2474.

16 Ich1473 will ihm846 zeigen5263, wieviel3745 er846 leiden3958 muß1163 um1063 meines3450 Namens willen5228.

17 Und1161 Ananias367 ging565 hin und2532 kam1525 in1519 das3739 Haus3614 und2532 legte2007 die Hände5495 auf1909 ihn846 und2532 sprach2036: Lieber Bruder80 Saul4549, der HErr2962 hat1722 mich3165 gesandt649 (der dir4671 erschienen3700 ist2064 auf308 dem Wege3598, da du herkamest), daß3704 du wieder sehend und mit4130 dem Heiligen40 Geist4151 erfüllet werdest.

18 Und2532 alsobald2112 fiel634 es von575 seinen846 Augen3788 wie5616 Schuppen3013; und5037 ward3916 wieder sehend308

19 und2532 stund auf, ließ sich1765 taufen und nahm2983 Speise5160 zu1722 sich und stärkete sich. Saulus4569 aber1161 war1096 etliche5100 Tage2250 bei3326 den Jüngern3101 zu Damaskus1154.

20 Und2532 alsbald2112 predigte2784 er3778 Christum5547 in1722 den Schulen4864, daß3754 derselbige Gottes2316 Sohn sei2076.

21 Sie846 entsetzten1839 sich1909 aber1161 alle3956, die5124 es5124 höreten, und2532 sprachen3004: Ist2076 das3588 nicht3756, der zu191 Jerusalem2419 verstörete alle, die1519 diesen Namen3686 anrufen1941, und2532 darum herkommen2064, daß1519 er3778 sie gebunden1210 führe71 zu1722 den Hohenpriestern749?

22 Saulus4569 aber1161 ward1743 immer3123 kräftiger und2532 trieb4797 die3588 Juden2453 in1722 die Enge, die zu Damaskus1154 wohneten, und bewährete es846, daß3754 dieser ist2076 der3778 Christus5547.

23 Und1161 nach vielen2425 Tagen2250 hielten die Juden2453 einen Rat4823 zusammen, daß5613 sie846 ihn töteten337.

24 Aber1161 es ward Saulus4569 kundgetan, daß3704 sie846 ihm nachstelleten. Sie1097 hüteten3906 aber2532 Tag2250 und5037 Nacht3571 an den Toren4439, daß sie846 ihn töteten337.

25 Da nahmen2983 ihn846 die Jünger3101 bei der Nacht3571 und1161 taten ihn durch1223 die Mauer5038 und ließen2524 ihn in1722 einem Korbe4711 hinab.

26 Da aber1161 Saulus4569 gen Jerusalem2419 kam3854, versuchte3987 er5399, sich zu1519 den Jüngern3101 zu2853 tun; und2532 sie fürchteten sich alle3956 vor ihm und glaubten4100 nicht3361, daß3754 er ein Jünger3101 wäre2076.

27 Barnabas921 aber1161 nahm1949 ihn71 zu4314 sich und2532 führete ihn zu1722 den Aposteln652 und2532 erzählete ihnen, wie4459 er846 auf der Straße3598 den HErrn2962 gesehen1492, und3754 er mit1722 ihm geredet2980, und2532 wie4459 er zu1722 Damaskus1154 den Namen3686 JEsu2424 frei geprediget hätte3955.

28 Und2532 er846 war2258 bei3326 ihnen und2532 ging1531 aus1607 und ein zu1722 Jerusalem2419 und predigte den Namen des HErrn JEsu frei.

29 Er2424 redete2980 auch2532 und2532 befragte sich4802 mit1722 den Griechen1675; aber1161 sie846 stelleten ihm nach, daß4314 sie ihn töteten337.

30 Da2532 das die Brüder80 erfuhren1921, geleiteten2609 sie846 ihn846 gen1519 Cäsarea2542 und1161 schickten1821 ihn gen1519 Tarsus5019.

31 So hatte2192 nun3767 die Gemeinde1577 Frieden1515 durch ganz3650 Judäa2449 und2532 Galiläa1056 und2532 Samarien4540 und2532 bauete sich3618 und2532 wandelte in4198 der Furcht5401 des HErrn2962 und ward erfüllet mit2596 Trost3874 des Heiligen40 Geistes4151.

32 Es geschah1096 aber1161, da1330 Petrus4074 durchzog allenthalben3956, daß1223 er auch2532 zu4314 den3588 Heiligen40 kam1330, die zu Lydda3069 wohneten.

33 Daselbst1563 fand2147 er einen5100 Mann444 mit Namen3686 Aneas, acht3638 Jahre2094 lang auf1909 dem3739 Bette gelegen2621, der1537 war2258 gichtbrüchig3886.

34 Und2532 Petrus4074 sprach2036 zu ihm: Änea, JEsus2424 Christus5547 macht2390 dich4571 gesund2390; stehe auf450 und2532 bette4766 dir selber4572. Und2532 alsobald2112 stund er846 auf450.

35 Und2532 es sahen1492 ihn846 alle3956, die3748 zu1909 Lydda3069 und2532 zu Saron4565 wohneten; die bekehreten sich1994 zu dem HErrn2962.

36 Zu1722 Joppe2445 aber1161 war2258 eine5100 Jüngerin3102 mit Namen3686 Tabea5000 (welches verdolmetschet heißt3004 eine Rehe1393), die3739 war2258 voll4134 guter18 Werke2041 und2532 Almosen1654, die3739 sie3778 tat4160.

37 Es begab1096 sich aber1161 zu1722 derselbigen Zeit2250, daß sie846 krank770 ward und1161 starb599. Da wuschen3068 sie dieselbige und legten5087 sie auf1722 den1565 Söller5253.

38 Nun aber1161 Lydda3069 nahe bei1451 Joppe2445 ist2076, da1330 die Jünger3101 höreten, daß3754 Petrus4074 daselbst war5607, sandten sie846 zwei1417 Männer435 zu191 ihm846 und ermahneten ihn, daß2193 er846 sich‘s nicht3361 ließe verdrießen3635, zu649 ihnen zu4314 kommen.

39 Petrus4074 aber1161 stund auf450 und2532 kam4905 mit3326 ihnen. Und2532 als er846 hinkommen war3854, führeten sie321 ihn hinauf auf den Söller5253, und2532 traten um3936 ihn alle3956 Witwen5503, weineten und zeigten1925 ihm846 die3739 Röcke5509 und Kleider2440, welche die3745 Rehe1393 machte4160, als sie846 bei ihnen war5607.

40 Und1161 da Petrus4074 sie alle3956 hinausgetrieben hatte, kniete1119 er nieder5087, betete4336 und2532 wandte1994 sich1544 zu4314 dem1854 Leichnam4983 und1161 sprach2036: Tabea5000, stehe auf450! Und2532 sie tat ihre Augen3788 auf455; und da sie Petrus4074 sah1492, setzte sie sich848 wieder339.

41 Er846 aber1161 gab1325 ihr846 die Hand5495 und1161 richtete450 sie3936 auf450 und2532 rief5455 die Heiligen40 und die Witwen5503 und stellete sie846 lebendig2198 dar.

42 Und1161 es ward kund1110 durch ganz3650 Joppe2445, und2532 viele4183 wurden1096 gläubig4100 an1909 den2596 HErrn2962.

43 Und1161 es geschah, daß er lange2425 Zeit2250 zu1722 Joppe2445 blieb3306 bei3844 einem Simon4613, der ein5100 Gerber1038 war1096.

10 Now there was in Damascus a disciple named An-a-ni'as, and the LORD said to him in a vision, An-a-ni'as. And he said, Behold, I am here, my LORD.

10 Es war2258 aber1161 ein5100 Jünger3101 zu1722 Damaskus1154 mit Namen3686 Ananias367; zu4314 dem sprach2036 der HErr2962 im1722 Gesichte: Ananias367! Und2532 er846 sprach2036: Hier bin ich1473, HErr2962.

11 And our LORD said to him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight and enquire at the house of Judas for Saul of the city of Tarsus: for behold, he is praying,

11 Der HErr2962 sprach zu4314 ihm: Stehe auf450 und1161 gehe hin4198 in1722 die Gasse4505, die da heißet die Richtige, und2532 frage in dem3588 Hause3614 Judas2455 nach2212 Saulus4569 mit1909 Namen2564 von Tarsus5018; denn1063 siehe2400, er846 betet4336

17 Then An-a-ni'as went to him at the house, and laying his hands on him, said, Saul, my brother, our LORD Jesus, who appeared to you on the way when you were coming, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

17 Und1161 Ananias367 ging565 hin und2532 kam1525 in1519 das3739 Haus3614 und2532 legte2007 die Hände5495 auf1909 ihn846 und2532 sprach2036: Lieber Bruder80 Saul4549, der HErr2962 hat1722 mich3165 gesandt649 (der dir4671 erschienen3700 ist2064 auf308 dem Wege3598, da du herkamest), daß3704 du wieder sehend und mit4130 dem Heiligen40 Geist4151 erfüllet werdest.

18 And in that hour, there fell from his eyes something like scales; and his eyesight was restored; and he arose and was baptized.

18 Und2532 alsobald2112 fiel634 es von575 seinen846 Augen3788 wie5616 Schuppen3013; und5037 ward3916 wieder sehend308

19 And when he had received food, he was strengthened, and he remained several days with the disciples in Damascus.

19 und2532 stund auf, ließ sich1765 taufen und nahm2983 Speise5160 zu1722 sich und stärkete sich. Saulus4569 aber1161 war1096 etliche5100 Tage2250 bei3326 den Jüngern3101 zu Damaskus1154.

20 From that time on, he preached in the Jewish synagogues concerning Jesus, that he is the Son of God.

20 Und2532 alsbald2112 predigte2784 er3778 Christum5547 in1722 den Schulen4864, daß3754 derselbige Gottes2316 Sohn sei2076.

21 But all those who heard him were amazed and said: Is this not he who persecuted those who called on this name in Jerusalem and behold, he was sent here for that very purpose that he might bring them bound to the high priests?

21 Sie846 entsetzten1839 sich1909 aber1161 alle3956, die5124 es5124 höreten, und2532 sprachen3004: Ist2076 das3588 nicht3756, der zu191 Jerusalem2419 verstörete alle, die1519 diesen Namen3686 anrufen1941, und2532 darum herkommen2064, daß1519 er3778 sie gebunden1210 führe71 zu1722 den Hohenpriestern749?

22 But Saul became more powerful and he made the Jews who dwelt in Damascus tremble when he proved that Jesus is the Christ.

22 Saulus4569 aber1161 ward1743 immer3123 kräftiger und2532 trieb4797 die3588 Juden2453 in1722 die Enge, die zu Damaskus1154 wohneten, und bewährete es846, daß3754 dieser ist2076 der3778 Christus5547.

23 After he had been there many days, the Jews plotted against him to kill him.

23 Und1161 nach vielen2425 Tagen2250 hielten die Juden2453 einen Rat4823 zusammen, daß5613 sie846 ihn töteten337.

24 But their conspiracy was made known to Saul, how they watched the gates of the city day and night to kill him.

24 Aber1161 es ward Saulus4569 kundgetan, daß3704 sie846 ihm nachstelleten. Sie1097 hüteten3906 aber2532 Tag2250 und5037 Nacht3571 an den Toren4439, daß sie846 ihn töteten337.

25 Then the disciples placed him in a basket and let him down over the wall during the night.

25 Da nahmen2983 ihn846 die Jünger3101 bei der Nacht3571 und1161 taten ihn durch1223 die Mauer5038 und ließen2524 ihn in1722 einem Korbe4711 hinab.

26 Then Saul went to Jerusalem, and wanted to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, and could not believe that he was a convert.

26 Da aber1161 Saulus4569 gen Jerusalem2419 kam3854, versuchte3987 er5399, sich zu1519 den Jüngern3101 zu2853 tun; und2532 sie fürchteten sich alle3956 vor ihm und glaubten4100 nicht3361, daß3754 er ein Jünger3101 wäre2076.

27 But Bar'na-bas took him and brought him to the apostles, and told them how he had seen the LORD on the way, and how he had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken openly in the name of Jesus.

27 Barnabas921 aber1161 nahm1949 ihn71 zu4314 sich und2532 führete ihn zu1722 den Aposteln652 und2532 erzählete ihnen, wie4459 er846 auf der Straße3598 den HErrn2962 gesehen1492, und3754 er mit1722 ihm geredet2980, und2532 wie4459 er zu1722 Damaskus1154 den Namen3686 JEsu2424 frei geprediget hätte3955.

28 So he went in and out with them at Jerusalem.

28 Und2532 er846 war2258 bei3326 ihnen und2532 ging1531 aus1607 und ein zu1722 Jerusalem2419 und predigte den Namen des HErrn JEsu frei.

29 And he spoke openly in the name of Jesus, and debated with the Jews who understood Greek: but they wanted to kill him.

29 Er2424 redete2980 auch2532 und2532 befragte sich4802 mit1722 den Griechen1675; aber1161 sie846 stelleten ihm nach, daß4314 sie ihn töteten337.

30 And when the brethren knew it, they brought him by night to Cµs-a-re'a, and from thence they sent him to Tarsus.

30 Da2532 das die Brüder80 erfuhren1921, geleiteten2609 sie846 ihn846 gen1519 Cäsarea2542 und1161 schickten1821 ihn gen1519 Tarsus5019.

31 Then the church throughout Judµa and Galilee and Samaria was at peace, and strengthened itself and developed obedience and reverence to God, and by the consola- tion of the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.

31 So hatte2192 nun3767 die Gemeinde1577 Frieden1515 durch ganz3650 Judäa2449 und2532 Galiläa1056 und2532 Samarien4540 und2532 bauete sich3618 und2532 wandelte in4198 der Furcht5401 des HErrn2962 und ward erfüllet mit2596 Trost3874 des Heiligen40 Geistes4151.

32 And it came to pass, while Simon Peter traveled to various cities, he came down also to the saints who dwelt at the city o· Lyd'da.

32 Es geschah1096 aber1161, da1330 Petrus4074 durchzog allenthalben3956, daß1223 er auch2532 zu4314 den3588 Heiligen40 kam1330, die zu Lydda3069 wohneten.

33 And there he found a man named ¦ æneas, who had been paralyzed and had lain in bed eight years.

33 Daselbst1563 fand2147 er einen5100 Mann444 mit Namen3686 Aneas, acht3638 Jahre2094 lang auf1909 dem3739 Bette gelegen2621, der1537 war2258 gichtbrüchig3886.

34 And Simon Peter said to him, ¦ æne-as, Jesus Christ heals you: Arise, and make your bed. And he arose immediately.

34 Und2532 Petrus4074 sprach2036 zu ihm: Änea, JEsus2424 Christus5547 macht2390 dich4571 gesund2390; stehe auf450 und2532 bette4766 dir selber4572. Und2532 alsobald2112 stund er846 auf450.

35 And all who dwelt at Lyd'da and Sharon saw him and turned to God.

35 Und2532 es sahen1492 ihn846 alle3956, die3748 zu1909 Lydda3069 und2532 zu Saron4565 wohneten; die bekehreten sich1994 zu dem HErrn2962.

36 Now there was in the city of Joppa a woman disciple called Tab'i-tha, which means gazelle and interpreted Dorcas; she was rich in good works and in charitable acts.

36 Zu1722 Joppe2445 aber1161 war2258 eine5100 Jüngerin3102 mit Namen3686 Tabea5000 (welches verdolmetschet heißt3004 eine Rehe1393), die3739 war2258 voll4134 guter18 Werke2041 und2532 Almosen1654, die3739 sie3778 tat4160.

37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: they bathed her, and laid her in an upper room.

37 Es begab1096 sich aber1161 zu1722 derselbigen Zeit2250, daß sie846 krank770 ward und1161 starb599. Da wuschen3068 sie dieselbige und legten5087 sie auf1722 den1565 Söller5253.

38 And the disciples heard that Simon Peter was in the city of Lyd'da, which is beside Joppa; they sent to him two men, desiring him to come to them without delay.

38 Nun aber1161 Lydda3069 nahe bei1451 Joppe2445 ist2076, da1330 die Jünger3101 höreten, daß3754 Petrus4074 daselbst war5607, sandten sie846 zwei1417 Männer435 zu191 ihm846 und ermahneten ihn, daß2193 er846 sich‘s nicht3361 ließe verdrießen3635, zu649 ihnen zu4314 kommen.

39 Then Simon Peter arose and went with them. And when he had arrived, they took him to the upper room where all the widows were gathered around her weeping and they showed him shirts and cloaks which Tab'itha had given them when she was alive.

39 Petrus4074 aber1161 stund auf450 und2532 kam4905 mit3326 ihnen. Und2532 als er846 hinkommen war3854, führeten sie321 ihn hinauf auf den Söller5253, und2532 traten um3936 ihn alle3956 Witwen5503, weineten und zeigten1925 ihm846 die3739 Röcke5509 und Kleider2440, welche die3745 Rehe1393 machte4160, als sie846 bei ihnen war5607.

40 But Simon Peter put all the people out and knelt down and prayed; then he turned to the body and said, Tab'i-tha, arise. And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Simon Peter, she sat up.

40 Und1161 da Petrus4074 sie alle3956 hinausgetrieben hatte, kniete1119 er nieder5087, betete4336 und2532 wandte1994 sich1544 zu4314 dem1854 Leichnam4983 und1161 sprach2036: Tabea5000, stehe auf450! Und2532 sie tat ihre Augen3788 auf455; und da sie Petrus4074 sah1492, setzte sie sich848 wieder339.

41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up; then he called the saints and widows and presented her to them alive.

41 Er846 aber1161 gab1325 ihr846 die Hand5495 und1161 richtete450 sie3936 auf450 und2532 rief5455 die Heiligen40 und die Witwen5503 und stellete sie846 lebendig2198 dar.

42 And this was known throughout the city and many believed in our LORD.

42 Und1161 es ward kund1110 durch ganz3650 Joppe2445, und2532 viele4183 wurden1096 gläubig4100 an1909 den2596 HErrn2962.
