John

Chapter 2

1 ON the third day there was a marriage feast in Cana, a city of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there.

2 And Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the marriage feast.

3 And when the wine decreased, his mother said to Jesus, They have no wine.

4 Jesus said to her, What is it to me and to you, woman? my turn has not yet come.

5 His mother said to the helpers, Whatever he tells you, do it.

6 And there were six stone jars placed there for the purification of the Jews, which could hold several gallons each.

7 Jesus said to them, Fill the jars with water; and they filled them up to the brim.

8 Then he said to them, Draw out now, and bring it to the chief guest of the feast. And they brought it.

9 And when the chief guest tasted the water that had become wine, he did not know whence it had come; but the helpers knew, who had drawn the water. Then the chief guest called the bridegroom

10 And said to him, Every man at first brings the best wine; and when they have drunk, then that which is weak; but you have kept the best wine until now.

11 This is the first miracle which Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and he showed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother and his brothers, and his disciples; and they remained there a few days.

13 And the Jewish passover was nearing; so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

14 And he found in the temple those who were buying oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting.

15 And he made a whip of cord, and drove them all out of the temple, even the sheep and the oxen and the money changers; and he threw out their exchange money, and upset their trays;

16 And to those who sold doves he said, Take these away from here; do not make my Father's house a house of trading.

17 And his disciples remembered that it is written, The zeal for your house has given me courage.

18 The Jews answered and said to him, What sign do you show us, that you are doing these things?

19 Jesus answered and said to them, Tear down this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

20 The Jews said to him, It took forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?

21 But he spoke concerning the temple of his body.

22 When he rose from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this; and they believed the scriptures and the word which Jesus had said.

23 Now when Jesus was in Jerusalem at the passover, during the feast, a great many believed in him, because they saw the miracles which he did.

24 But Jesus did not entrust himself to them, because he understood every man.

25 And he needed no man to testify to him concerning any man; for he knew well what was in man.

Глава 2

1 Через два дня в Кане, в Галилее, был свадебный пир, и мать Исы была там.

2 Иса и Его ученики тоже были приглашены на свадьбу.

3 Случилось так, что во время пира кончилось вино, и мать Исы тогда сказала Ему: – У них нет вина.

4 Иса ответил: – О, женщина, . почему Я должен заботиться об этом? Моё время ещё не настало.

5 Мать Исы сказала слугам: – Делайте то, что Он вам скажет.

6 Рядом стояло шесть больших каменных сосудов, которые иудеи использовали для обрядовых омовений. В каждый сосуд вмещалось от восьмидесяти до ста двадцати литров воды.

7 Иса сказал слугам: – Наполните сосуды водой. Те наполнили их водой до верха.

8 – А теперь зачерпните, – сказал Он, – и отнесите распорядителю пира. Они так и сделали.

9 Тот попробовал воду, ставшую вином. Он не знал, откуда взялось вино, об этом знали только слуги. Распорядитель отозвал в сторону жениха

10 и упрекнул его: – Все подают вначале вино получше, а потом, когда гости напьются, подают вино похуже. А ты сберегал лучшее вино до сих пор.

11 Так Иса положил начало знамениям в Кане Галилейской и явил Свою славу; и Его ученики уверовали в Него.

12 После этого Иса вместе с матерью, братьями и учениками пошёл в Капернаум, и там они пробыли несколько дней.

13 Приближалось время иудейского праздника Освобождения, . и Иса пошёл в Иерусалим.

14 В храме Он увидел людей, продававших быков, овец и голубей; у столов сидели те, кто менял деньги.

15 Сделав из верёвок плеть, Он выгнал из храма всех торговцев, а также овец и быков. Он опрокинул столы менял, рассыпав их монеты.

16 – Уберите это отсюда! – говорил Он продавцам голубей. – Как вы смеете превращать дом Моего Отца в базар!

17 Его ученики вспомнили записанное в Писании: «Ревность о доме Твоём снедает Меня». .

18 Тогда предводители иудеев спросили у Него: – Каким знамением Ты можешь доказать нам, что Ты имеешь право всё это делать?

19 Иса ответил им: – Разрушьте этот храм, и Я в три дня восстановлю его.

20 Предводители иудеев ответили: – Этот храм строился сорок шесть лет, а Ты собираешься восстановить его в три дня?

21 Но Иса имел в виду не здание храма, а Своё тело.

22 После того как Иса воскрес из мёртвых, ученики вспомнили Его слова и поверили Писанию и словам Исы.

23 Пока Иса был в Иерусалиме на празднике Освобождения, многие, видя знамения, которые Он творил, поверили в Него.

24 Но Сам Иса не доверялся им, потому что Он знал всех,

25 и Ему не нужно было знать о человеке по рассказам других, так как Он видел, что у каждого на душе.

1 Через два дня в Кане, в Галилее, был свадебный пир, и мать Исы была там.

2 And Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the marriage feast.

3 Случилось так, что во время пира кончилось вино, и мать Исы тогда сказала Ему: – У них нет вина.

4 Иса ответил: – О, женщина, . почему Я должен заботиться об этом? Моё время ещё не настало.

5 His mother said to the helpers, Whatever he tells you, do it.

5 Мать Исы сказала слугам: – Делайте то, что Он вам скажет.

8 – А теперь зачерпните, – сказал Он, – и отнесите распорядителю пира. Они так и сделали.

9 Тот попробовал воду, ставшую вином. Он не знал, откуда взялось вино, об этом знали только слуги. Распорядитель отозвал в сторону жениха

10 And said to him, Every man at first brings the best wine; and when they have drunk, then that which is weak; but you have kept the best wine until now.

10 и упрекнул его: – Все подают вначале вино получше, а потом, когда гости напьются, подают вино похуже. А ты сберегал лучшее вино до сих пор.

11 This is the first miracle which Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and he showed his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

11 Так Иса положил начало знамениям в Кане Галилейской и явил Свою славу; и Его ученики уверовали в Него.

12 After this he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother and his brothers, and his disciples; and they remained there a few days.

12 После этого Иса вместе с матерью, братьями и учениками пошёл в Капернаум, и там они пробыли несколько дней.

13 And the Jewish passover was nearing; so Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

13 Приближалось время иудейского праздника Освобождения, . и Иса пошёл в Иерусалим.

14 And he found in the temple those who were buying oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting.

14 В храме Он увидел людей, продававших быков, овец и голубей; у столов сидели те, кто менял деньги.

15 And he made a whip of cord, and drove them all out of the temple, even the sheep and the oxen and the money changers; and he threw out their exchange money, and upset their trays;

15 Сделав из верёвок плеть, Он выгнал из храма всех торговцев, а также овец и быков. Он опрокинул столы менял, рассыпав их монеты.

16 And to those who sold doves he said, Take these away from here; do not make my Father's house a house of trading.

16 – Уберите это отсюда! – говорил Он продавцам голубей. – Как вы смеете превращать дом Моего Отца в базар!

17 And his disciples remembered that it is written, The zeal for your house has given me courage.

17 Его ученики вспомнили записанное в Писании: «Ревность о доме Твоём снедает Меня». .

18 The Jews answered and said to him, What sign do you show us, that you are doing these things?

18 Тогда предводители иудеев спросили у Него: – Каким знамением Ты можешь доказать нам, что Ты имеешь право всё это делать?

19 Jesus answered and said to them, Tear down this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

19 Иса ответил им: – Разрушьте этот храм, и Я в три дня восстановлю его.

20 The Jews said to him, It took forty-six years to build this temple, and will you raise it up in three days?

20 Предводители иудеев ответили: – Этот храм строился сорок шесть лет, а Ты собираешься восстановить его в три дня?

21 But he spoke concerning the temple of his body.

21 Но Иса имел в виду не здание храма, а Своё тело.

22 When he rose from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this; and they believed the scriptures and the word which Jesus had said.

22 После того как Иса воскрес из мёртвых, ученики вспомнили Его слова и поверили Писанию и словам Исы.

23 Now when Jesus was in Jerusalem at the passover, during the feast, a great many believed in him, because they saw the miracles which he did.

23 Пока Иса был в Иерусалиме на празднике Освобождения, многие, видя знамения, которые Он творил, поверили в Него.

24 But Jesus did not entrust himself to them, because he understood every man.

24 Но Сам Иса не доверялся им, потому что Он знал всех,

25 And he needed no man to testify to him concerning any man; for he knew well what was in man.

25 и Ему не нужно было знать о человеке по рассказам других, так как Он видел, что у каждого на душе.
