以賽亞書

第11章

1 從耶西的根［stem］必出［out］一杖［rod］，有一苗裔必從他根而生［and a Branch shall grow out of his roots］。

2 耶和華的靈必住在他身上，就是使他有智慧和聰明的靈，謀略和能力的靈，知識和敬畏耶和華的靈；

3 又必使他因敬畏耶和華有活知識［And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD］。他［he］行審判不憑眼見，斷是非也不憑耳聞。

4 他［he］卻要以公義審判貧窮人，以公正［equity］判斷世上的謙卑人。他必［he shall］以口中的杖擊打世界，以嘴裏的氣殺戮惡人。

5 公義必當他的腰帶，信實必當他肺腑［reins］的帶子。

6 豺狼也［also］必與綿羊羔同居，豹子與山羊羔同臥；少壯獅子與牛犢並肥畜同群；小孩子要牽引牠們。

7 牛必與熊同食；牛犢必與小熊同臥。獅子必吃草，與牛一樣。

8 吃奶的孩子必玩耍在毒蛇［asp］的洞口；斷奶的嬰兒必按手在雞蛇［cockatrice'］的穴上。

9 在我聖山遍處［all］，牠們［They］都不傷人，不害物；因為認識耶和華的知識要充滿遍地，好像水充滿洋海一般。

10 到那日，必有一［there shall be a］耶西的根立作眾民的大旗；外邦人必尋求它［it］。他的安息必［his rest shall be］大有榮耀。

11 當那日，主必第二次［second time］伸手救回自己百姓中所餘剩的，就是在亞述、埃及、巴忒羅、古實、以攔、示拿、哈馬，並眾海島所剩下的。

12 他必向列國豎立大旗，招回以色列被趕散的人，又從地的四方聚集分散的猶大［Judah］。

13 以法蓮的嫉妒也［also］必消散，猶大的敵人［adversaries］必被剪除；以法蓮必不嫉妒猶大，猶大也不擾害以法蓮。

14 他們要向西飛，撲在非利士人的肩頭上［upon the shoulders］；他們必［they shall］一同擄掠東方人。他們要［they shall］伸手按住以東和摩押；亞捫人也必順服他們。

15 耶和華必使埃及海的舌頭全然滅絕［utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea］；他要搖動他的手［shall he shake his hand］用他的大［his mighty］風使大河分為七條，令人過去不致濕腳。

16 必有一條大道為他餘剩的百姓，就是從亞述剩下的［And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria］；如當日以色列從埃及地上來一樣。

1 And there shall come3318 forth3318 a rod2415 out of the stem1503 of Jesse,3448 and a Branch5342 shall grow6509 out of his roots:8328

2 And the spirit7307 of the LORD3068 shall rest5117 on him, the spirit7307 of wisdom2451 and understanding,998 the spirit7307 of counsel6098 and might,1369 the spirit7307 of knowledge1847 and of the fear3374 of the LORD;3068

3 And shall make him of quick understanding7306 in the fear3374 of the LORD:3068 and he shall not judge8199 after the sight4758 of his eyes,5869 neither3808 reprove3198 after the hearing4926 of his ears:241

4 But with righteousness6664 shall he judge8199 the poor,1800 and reprove3198 with equity4334 for the meek6035 of the earth:776 and he shall smite5221 the earth776: with the rod7626 of his mouth,6310 and with the breath7307 of his lips8193 shall he slay4191 the wicked.7563

5 And righteousness6664 shall be the girdle232 of his loins,4975 and faithfulness530 the girdle232 of his reins.2504

6 The wolf2061 also shall dwell1481 with the lamb,3532 and the leopard5246 shall lie7257 down7257 with the kid;1423 and the calf5695 and the young3715 lion3715 and the fatted calf4806 together;3162 and a little6995 child5288 shall lead5090 them.

7 And the cow6510 and the bear1677 shall feed;7462 their young3206 ones shall lie7257 down7257 together:3162 and the lion738 shall eat398 straw8401 like the ox.1241

8 And the sucking3243 child shall play8173 on5921 the hole2356 of the asp,6620 and the weaned1580 child shall put1911 his hand3027 on5921 the cockatrice'6848 den.3975

9 They shall not hurt7489 nor3808 destroy7843 in all3605 my holy6944 mountain:2022 for the earth776 shall be full4390 of the knowledge1844 of the LORD,3068 as the waters4325 cover3680 the sea.3220

10 And in that day3117 there shall be a root8328 of Jesse,3448 which834 shall stand5975 for an ensign5251 of the people;5971 to it shall the Gentiles1471 seek:1875 and his rest4496 shall be glorious.3519

11 And it shall come1961 to pass in that day,3117 that the Lord136 shall set his hand3027 again3254 the second8145 time6256 to recover7069 the remnant7605 of his people,5971 which834 shall be left,7604 from Assyria,804 and from Egypt,4714 and from Pathros,6624 and from Cush,3568 and from Elam,5867 and from Shinar,8152 and from Hamath,2574 and from the islands339 of the sea.3220

12 And he shall set5375 up an ensign5251 for the nations,1471 and shall assemble622 the outcasts1760 of Israel,3478 and gather6908 together the dispersed5310 of Judah3063 from the four702 corners3671 of the earth.776

13 The envy7068 also of Ephraim669 shall depart,5493 and the adversaries6887 of Judah3063 shall be cut3772 off: Ephraim669 shall not envy7065 Judah,3063 and Judah3063 shall not vex6887 Ephraim.669

14 But they shall fly5774 on the shoulders3802 of the Philistines6430 toward the west;3220 they shall spoil962 them of the east6924 together:3162 they shall lay7971 their hand3027 on Edom123 and Moab;4124 and the children1121 of Ammon5983 shall obey4928 them.

15 And the LORD3068 shall utterly destroy2763 the tongue3956 of the Egyptian4714 sea;3220 and with his mighty5868 wind7307 shall he shake5130 his hand3027 over5921 the river,5104 and shall smite5221 it in the seven7651 streams,5158 and make men go1869 over1869 with dry sandals.5275

16 And there shall be an highway4546 for the remnant7605 of his people,5971 which834 shall be left,7604 from Assyria;804 like as it was to Israel3478 in the day3117 that he came5927 up out of the land776 of Egypt.4714

1 And there shall come3318 forth3318 a rod2415 out of the stem1503 of Jesse,3448 and a Branch5342 shall grow6509 out of his roots:8328

2 耶和華的靈必住在他身上，就是使他有智慧和聰明的靈，謀略和能力的靈，知識和敬畏耶和華的靈；

2 And the spirit7307 of the LORD3068 shall rest5117 on him, the spirit7307 of wisdom2451 and understanding,998 the spirit7307 of counsel6098 and might,1369 the spirit7307 of knowledge1847 and of the fear3374 of the LORD;3068

3 又必使他因敬畏耶和華有活知識［And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD］。他［he］行審判不憑眼見，斷是非也不憑耳聞。

3 And shall make him of quick understanding7306 in the fear3374 of the LORD:3068 and he shall not judge8199 after the sight4758 of his eyes,5869 neither3808 reprove3198 after the hearing4926 of his ears:241

4 他［he］卻要以公義審判貧窮人，以公正［equity］判斷世上的謙卑人。他必［he shall］以口中的杖擊打世界，以嘴裏的氣殺戮惡人。

10 And in that day3117 there shall be a root8328 of Jesse,3448 which834 shall stand5975 for an ensign5251 of the people;5971 to it shall the Gentiles1471 seek:1875 and his rest4496 shall be glorious.3519

11 當那日，主必第二次［second time］伸手救回自己百姓中所餘剩的，就是在亞述、埃及、巴忒羅、古實、以攔、示拿、哈馬，並眾海島所剩下的。

11 And it shall come1961 to pass in that day,3117 that the Lord136 shall set his hand3027 again3254 the second8145 time6256 to recover7069 the remnant7605 of his people,5971 which834 shall be left,7604 from Assyria,804 and from Egypt,4714 and from Pathros,6624 and from Cush,3568 and from Elam,5867 and from Shinar,8152 and from Hamath,2574 and from the islands339 of the sea.3220

12 他必向列國豎立大旗，招回以色列被趕散的人，又從地的四方聚集分散的猶大［Judah］。

12 And he shall set5375 up an ensign5251 for the nations,1471 and shall assemble622 the outcasts1760 of Israel,3478 and gather6908 together the dispersed5310 of Judah3063 from the four702 corners3671 of the earth.776

13 以法蓮的嫉妒也［also］必消散，猶大的敵人［adversaries］必被剪除；以法蓮必不嫉妒猶大，猶大也不擾害以法蓮。

13 The envy7068 also of Ephraim669 shall depart,5493 and the adversaries6887 of Judah3063 shall be cut3772 off: Ephraim669 shall not envy7065 Judah,3063 and Judah3063 shall not vex6887 Ephraim.669

15 And the LORD3068 shall utterly destroy2763 the tongue3956 of the Egyptian4714 sea;3220 and with his mighty5868 wind7307 shall he shake5130 his hand3027 over5921 the river,5104 and shall smite5221 it in the seven7651 streams,5158 and make men go1869 over1869 with dry sandals.5275

16 必有一條大道為他餘剩的百姓，就是從亞述剩下的［And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria］；如當日以色列從埃及地上來一樣。
