1 禍哉［Woe］。埃塞俄比亞河外翅膀覆蔽［shadowing］之地─

2 差遣使臣［ambassadors］在水面上，坐蒲草船過海，說：你們快行的使者，要到分散被剝的國［nation scattered and peeled］、從開國以來極其可畏的民那裏去［to a people terrible from their beginning hitherto］；是被懲罰、被踐踏的國［a nation meted out and trodden down］，那地被江河所壞［whose land the rivers have spoiled］。

2 That sends7971 ambassadors6735 by the sea,3220 even in vessels3627 of bulrushes1573 on the waters,4325 saying, Go,3212 you swift7031 messengers,4397 to a nation1471 scattered4900 and peeled,4178 to a people5971 terrible3372 from their beginning1931 till now;1973 a nation1471 meted6978 out and trodden4001 down, whose834 land776 the rivers5104 have spoiled!958

3 世上一切的居民和地上所住的人哪，他在［he］山上豎立大旗的時候你們要看；他［he］吹號［trumpet］的時候你們要聽。

3 All3605 you inhabitants3427 of the world,8398 and dwellers7931 on the earth,776 see7200 you, when he lifts5375 up an ensign5251 on the mountains;2022 and when he blows8628 a trumpet,7782 hear8085 you.

4 因為耶和華對我說［For so LORD said unto me］：我要休息［I will take my rest］，在我的居所思想［consider］，如同菜蔬上［upon the herbs］的清熱，又如露水的雲霧在收割的熱天。

4 For so3541 the LORD3068 said559 to me, I will take my rest,8252 and I will consider5027 in my dwelling4349 place like a clear6703 heat2527 on herbs,219 and like a cloud5645 of dew2919 in the heat2527 of harvest.7105

5 收割之先，發芽完全［bud is perfect］，花也成了將熟的葡萄；他必用鐮刀削去嫩枝，又取走砍下枝子［take away and cut down the branches］。
|
5 For before6440 the harvest,7105 when the bud6525 is perfect,8552 and the sour1155 grape1155 is ripening1580 in the flower,5328 he shall both cut3772 off the sprigs2150 with pruning4211 hooks, and take5493 away5493 and cut8456 down the branches.5189

6 它們要被［They shall be］撇給山間的飛鳥［fowls］和地上的野獸；夏天，飛鳥［fowls］要宿在其上，冬天，野獸都臥在其中。
|
6 They shall be left5800 together3162 to the fowls5861 of the mountains,2022 and to the beasts929 of the earth:776 and the fowls5861 shall summer6972 on them, and all3605 the beasts929 of the earth776 shall winter2778 on them.

7 到那時，這分散被剝［scattered and peeled］的民，就是從開國以來極其可畏的民［people］；是被懲罰、被踐踏的國［a nation meted out and trodden under foot］，那地被江河所壞［whose land the rivers have spoiled］；他們必將禮物奉給大軍之耶和華，就是奉到錫安山─大軍之［of hosts］耶和華安置他名的地方。

7 In that time6256 shall the present7862 be brought2986 to the LORD3068 of hosts6635 of a people5971 scattered4900 and peeled,4178 and from a people5971 terrible3372 from their beginning1931 till now;1973 a nation1471 meted6978 out and trodden4001 under foot,4001 whose834 land776 the rivers5104 have spoiled,958 to the place4725 of the name8034 of the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the mount2022 Zion.6726
