Luke

Chapter 22

1 NOW the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the passover, was at hand.

2 And the high priests and the scribes sought how to kill him; but they were afraid of the people.

3 But Satan had taken possession of Judas who is called of Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve.

4 So he went away, and spoke with the high priests and the scribes and officers of the temple, about delivering him to them.

5 And they were glad and promised to give him money.

6 And he agreed with them, and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the people.

7 Then the day of unleavened bread came, on which it was the custom to kill the passover lamb.

8 So Jesus sent Peter and John, and said to them, Go and prepare the passover for us to eat.

9 They said to him, Where do you wish us to prepare?

10 He said to them, Behold, when you enter the city, you will meet a man carrying a skin full of water; follow him. And wherever he enters,

11 Say to the master of the house, Our Teacher says, Where is the guest room, where I may eat the passover with my disciples?

12 And behold, he will show you an upper room, large and furnished; there make ready.

13 And they went and found just as he had said to them; and they prepared the passover.

14 And when the time came, Jesus came and sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

15 And he said to them, I have desired with desire to eat this passover with you before I suffer;

16 For I say to you, that henceforth, I will not eat it, until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

17 And he took the cup and gave thanks and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves.

18 For I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.

19 And he took bread and gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them and said, This is my body, which is given for your sake; this do in remembrance of me.

20 And likewise also the cup, after they had eaten the supper, he said, This is the cup of the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.

21 But behold, the hand of him who is to betray me is on the table.

22 And the Son of man will go, just as he has been destined; but woe to the man by whose hand he will be betrayed!

23 And they began to enquire among themselves, which one of them was to do this act.

24 There was also a dispute among them, as to who is the greatest among them.

25 Jesus said to them, The kings of the Gentiles are also their owners; and those who rule over them are called benefactors.

26 But not so with you; but he who is great among you, let him be the least, and he who is a leader be like a minister.

27 For who is greater, he who sits down or he who serves? Is it not he who sits down? but I am among you as one who serves.

28 You are those who have remained with me, throughout my trials.

29 And I promise you, just as my Father has promised me, a kingdom,

30 That you may eat and drink at the table in my kingdom; and you will sit on chairs, and judge the twelve tribes of Israel.

31 And Jesus said to Simon, Simon, behold Satan wants to sift all of you as wheat;

32 But I have made supplication for you that your faith may not weaken; and even you in time will repent, and strengthen your brethren.

33 Simon said to him, My Lord, I am ready with you, even for the prison and for death.

34 Jesus said to him, I say to you, Simon, the cock will not crow today, until you have denied three times that you know me.

35 And he said to them, When I sent you out without purses, and without bags, and shoes, did you lack anything? They said to him, Not a thing.

36 He said to them, From now on he who has purses, let him take them, and the bag likewise; and he who has no sword, let him sell his robe and buy for himself a sword.

37 For I say to you, that this which is written must be fulfilled in me, He will be numbered among the wicked; for all the things concerning me will be fulfilled.

38 And they said to him, Our Lord, behold here are two swords. He said to them, That is enough.

39 And he went out and went away, as it was his custom, to the Mount of the Home of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

40 And when he arrived at a place, he said to them, Pray that you may not enter into temptation.

41 And he separated from them, about the distance of a stone's throw, and he kneeled down, and prayed,

42 Saying, O Father, if you will, let this cup pass from me; but not as I will, but your will be done.

43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, to strengthen him.

44 And he was in fear, and prayed earnestly; and his sweat became like drops of blood; and he fell down upon the ground.

45 Then he rose up from his prayer, and came to his disciples, and found them sleeping because of distress.

46 And he said to them, Why do you sleep? rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.

47 While he was still speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who is called Judas, one of the twelve, coming before them; and he drew near to Jesus and kissed him. For this was the sign he had given them, He whom I kiss, it is he.

48 Jesus said to him, Judas, do you betray the Son of man with a kiss?

49 When those who were with him saw what happened, they said to him, Our Lord, shall we smite them with swords?

50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

51 But Jesus answered and said, It is enough for the present. And he touched the ear of him who was wounded, and healed it.

52 And Jesus said to the high priests and the elders and the officers of the temple, who had come against him, Have you come out against me to arrest me with swords and staves, as if you were against a bandit?

53 I was with you every day in the temple, and you did not even point your hands at me; but this is your turn, and the power of darkness.

54 And they arrested him, and brought him to the house of the high priest. And Simon followed him afar off.

55 And they kindled a fire in the midst of the courtyard, and they sat around it; and Simon also sat among them.

56 And a young woman saw him sitting by the fire, and she looked at him and said, This man also was with him.

57 But he denied, and said, Woman, I do not know him.

58 And after a little while, another saw him, and said to him, You also are one of them. But Peter said, I am not.

59 And after an hour, another one argued and said, Truly, this man also was with him; for he is also a Galilean.

60 Peter said, Man, I do not know what you are saying. And immediately while he was still speaking, the cock crew.

61 And Jesus turned and looked at Peter. And Simon remembered the word of our Lord, that he said to him, Before the cock crows you will deny me three times.

62 And Simon went outside and wept bitterly.

63 And the men who held Jesus mocked him,

64 And they covered his head, and smote him on his face, saying, Prophesy, who has struck you.

65 And many other things they blasphemed and said against him.

66 As soon as it was daybreak, the elders and the high priests and the scribes gathered together, and brought him up to their council chamber.

67 And they said to him, If you are the Christ, tell us. He said to them, If I tell you, you will not believe me.

68 And if I ask you, you will not answer me nor release me.

69 From henceforth the Son of man will sit at the right hand of the power of God.

70 And they all said, Are you then the Son of God? Jesus said to them, You say that I am.

71 And they said, Why then do we need witnesses? for we have heard it from his own mouth.

Kapitel 22

1 Es war aber1161 nahe das Fest1859 der süßen Brote106, das da1448 Ostern3957 heißt3004.

2 Und2532 die Hohenpriester749 und2532 Schriftgelehrten1122 trachteten, wie4459 sie846 ihn töteten337, und2212 fürchteten sich5399 vor dem Volk2992.

3 Es war5607 aber1161 der Satanas4567 gefahren1525 in1519 den Judas2455, genannt1941 Ischariot2469, der da war aus1537 der Zahl706 der Zwölfe.

4 Und2532 er846 ging565 hin und2532 redete mit4814 den Hohenpriestern749 und mit den Hauptleuten4755, wie4459 er ihn wollte ihnen überantworten3860.

5 Und2532 sie5463 wurden froh und2532 gelobten4934, ihm846 Geld694 zu geben1325.

6 Und2532 er846 versprach1843 es und2532 suchte2212 Gelegenheit2120, daß er ihn überantwortete3860 ohne817 Rumor.

7 Es kam2064 nun1161 der Tag2250 der süßen Brote106, auf welchen man1163 mußte opfern2380 das3739 Osterlamm3957.

8 Und2532 er sandte649 Petrus4074 und2532 Johannes2491 und sprach2036: Gehet hin4198, bereitet2090 uns2254 das Osterlamm3957, auf daß2443 wir‘s essen5315.

9 Sie846 aber1161 sprachen2036 zu ihm: Wo4226 willst2309 du, daß wir‘s bereiten2090?

10 Er846 sprach2036 zu ihnen: Siehe2400, wenn ihr846 hineinkommt in1519 die Stadt4172, wird euch5216 ein1525 Mensch444 begegnen4876, der trägt941 einen Wasserkrug2765; folget ihm190 nach1519 in das Haus3614, da1161 er hineingehet,

11 und2532 saget3004 zu dem Hausherrn3617: Der Meister1320 läßt dir4671 sagen2046: Wo4226 ist2076 die Herberge2646, darinnen ich das Osterlamm3957 essen5315 möge mit3326 meinen3450 Jüngern3101?

12 Und er2548 wird euch5213 einen großen3173 gepflasterten Saal508 zeigen1166; daselbst1563 bereitet2090 es.

13 Sie gingen565 hin und1161 fanden2147, wie2531 er846 ihnen gesagt hatte2046, und2532 bereiteten2090 das Osterlamm3957.

14 Und2532 da3753 die Stunde5610 kam1096, setzte er846 sich377 nieder und die zwölf1427 Apostel652 mit4862 ihm.

15 Und2532 er846 sprach2036 zu4314 ihnen: Mich3165 hat1937 herzlich1939 verlanget, dies Osterlamm3957 mit3326 euch5216 zu essen5315, ehe4253 denn ich5124 leide3958.

16 Denn1063 ich sage3004 euch1722, daß ich hinfort3765 nicht3364 mehr davon essen5315 werde5315, bis daß es erfüllet4137 werde im1537 Reich932 Gottes2316.

17 Und2532 er1209 nahm2983 den Kelch4221, dankete und2532 sprach2036: Nehmet denselbigen und teilet1266 ihn5124 unter euch1438.

18 Denn1063 ich sage3004 euch: Ich werde4095 nicht3364 trinken4095 von575 dem Gewächse des Weinstocks288, bis das932 Reich Gottes2316 komme2064.

19 Und2532 er846 nahm2983 das5124 Brot740, dankete und2532 brach‘s2806 und gab‘s1325 ihnen und sprach3004: Das3588 ist2076 mein3450 Leib4983, der für5228 euch5216 gegeben1325 wird; das5124 tut4160 zu1519 meinem1699 Gedächtnis364!

20 Desselbigengleichen auch den Kelch4221 nach3326 dem3588 Abendmahl1172 und2532 sprach3004: Das5124 ist1632 der Kelch4221, das neue2537 Testament1242 in1722 meinem3450 Blut129, das für5228 euch5216 vergossen wird.

21 Doch4133 siehe2400, die Hand5495 meines Verräters3860 ist mit3326 mir3165 über1909 Tische5132!

22 Und2532 zwar3303, des Menschen444 Sohn gehet hin4198, wie2596 es1565 beschlossen ist; doch4133 wehe3759 demselbigen Menschen444, durch1223 welchen3739 er3724 verraten3860 wird!

23 Und2532 sie846 fingen an756 zu4314 fragen4802 unter1537 sich selbst1438, welcher es5124 doch686 wäre unter ihnen846, der das1498 tun4238 würde3195.

24 Es erhub sich auch1161 ein Zank5379 unter1722 ihnen846, welcher5101 unter ihnen846 sollte1380 für1511 den Größten3187 gehalten werden1096.

25 Er846 aber1161 sprach2036 zu ihnen846: Die846 weltlichen1484 Könige935 herrschen2961, und2532 die Gewaltigen1850 heißt2564 man gnädige Herren2110.

26 Ihr5210 aber1161 nicht3756 also3779, sondern235 der Größte3187 unter1722 euch5213 soll sein1096 wie5613 der Jüngste3501 und2532 der Vornehmste2233 wie5613 ein Diener1247.

27 Denn1063 welcher5101 ist der Größte3187, der zu345 Tische sitzt, oder2228 der da dienet? Ist‘s nicht3780 also, daß der zu345 Tische sitzt? Ich1473 aber1161 bin1510 unter euch5216 wie5613 ein Diener1247.

28 Ihr5210 aber1161 seid‘s, die ihr2075 beharret habt1265 bei3326 mir1700 in1722 meinen3450 Anfechtungen3986.

29 Und2504 ich will1303 euch5213 das932 Reich bescheiden, wie2531 mir3427‘s mein3450 Vater3962 beschieden hat1303,

30 daß2443 ihr essen2068 und2532 trinken4095 sollt über1909 meinem3450 Tische5132 in1722 meinem3450 Reich932 und2532 sitzen2523 auf1909 Stühlen2362 und richten2919 die zwölf1427 Geschlechter5443 Israels2474.

31 Der Herr2962 aber1161 sprach2036: Simon4613, Simon4613, siehe2400, der Satanas4567 hat euer begehrt1809, daß er euch5209 möchte sichten4617 wie5613 den Weizen4621!

32 Ich1473 aber1161 habe für4012 dich4675 gebeten1189, daß3363 dein4675 Glaube4102 nicht3363 aufhöre1587. Und2532 wenn du4771 dermaleinst4218 dich bekehrest, so stärke4741 deine4675 Brüder80.

33 Er846 sprach2036 aber1161 zu ihm: HErr2962, ich bin1510 bereit2092 mit3326 dir4675 ins1519 Gefängnis5438 und2532 in1519 den Tod2288 zu gehen4198.

34 Er aber1161 sprach2036: Petrus4074, ich sage3004 dir4671, der Hahn220 wird5455 heute4594 nicht3364 krähen5455, ehe4250 denn2228 du3361 dreimal5151 verleugnet hast533, daß du1492 mich3165 kennest.

35 Und2532 er sprach2036 zu ihnen: So1161 oft3753 ich euch5209 gesandt649 habe ohne817 Beutel905, ohne Tasche4082 und2532 ohne Schuhe, habt ihr846 auch2532 je Mangel gehabt5302? Sie5100 sprachen2036: Nie3762 keinen.

36 Da2532 sprach2036 er846 zu ihnen: Aber2532 nun3767, wer einen Beutel905 hat2192, der3668 nehme142 ihn, desselbigengleichen auch2532 die Tasche4082; wer aber nicht3361 hat2192, verkaufe4453 sein Kleid2440 und235 kaufe59 ein Schwert3162.

37 Denn1063 ich sage3004 euch5213: Es muß1163 noch2089 das5124 auch2532 vollendet werden5055 an mir1698, das1063 geschrieben1125 stehet: Er ist2192 unter3326 die Übeltäter459 gerechnet3049. Denn3754 was von4012 mir1700 geschrieben ist, das hat1722 ein Ende5056.

38 Sie sprachen2036 aber1161: HErr2962, siehe2400, hier5602 sind zwei1417 Schwerter3162. Er846 aber1161 sprach2036 zu ihnen: Es ist2076 genug2425.

39 Und2532 er2532 ging hinaus1831 nach2596 seiner846 Gewohnheit1485 an den Ölberg3735. Es folgeten ihm190 aber4198 seine846 Jünger3101 nach1519 an denselbigen Ort.

40 Und1161 als er dahin kam1096, sprach2036 er zu ihnen: Betet4336, auf1909 daß ihr846 nicht3361 in1519 Anfechtung3986 fallet1525!

41 Und2532 er846 riß sich645 von575 ihnen846 bei5616 einem Steinwurf3037 und2532 kniete1119 nieder5087, betete4336

42 und sprach3004: Vater3962, willst du1014, so1487 nimm diesen5124 Kelch4221 von575 mir1700; doch4133 nicht3361 mein3450, sondern235 dein4674 Wille2307 geschehe1096.

43 Es erschien3700 ihm846 aber1161 ein Engel32 vom575 Himmel3772 und stärkete ihn846.

44 Und2532 es kam2597, daß er846 mit1722 dem Tode74 rang, und betete4336 heftiger1617. Es ward1096 aber1161 sein1096 Schweiß2402 wie5616 Blutstropfen2361, die fielen auf1909 die Erde1093.

45 Und2532 er846 stund auf450 vom575 Gebet4335 und kam2064 zu4314 seinen846 Jüngern3101 und fand2147 sie schlafend vor575 Traurigkeit3077.

46 Und2532 sprach2036 zu ihnen: Was5101 schlafet ihr846? Stehet auf450 und betet4336, auf daß3363 ihr2518 nicht in1519 Anfechtung3986 fallet1525!

47 Da1448 er846 aber1161 noch2089 redete2980, siehe2400, die Schar3793 und2532 einer1520 von den Zwölfen1427, genannt3004 Judas2455, ging vor4281 ihnen846 her und2532 nahete sich zu JEsu2424, ihn zu küssen5368.

48 JEsus2424 aber1161 sprach2036 zu ihm: Judas2455, verrätst du3860 des846 Menschen444 Sohn mit einem Kuß5370?

49 Da aber1161 sahen1492, die um4012 ihn waren, was da werden2071 wollte, sprachen2036 sie846 zu1722 ihm846: HErr, sollen wir mit dem Schwert3162 dreinschlagen?

50 Und2532 einer5100 aus1537 ihnen schlug3960 des846 Hohenpriesters749 Knecht1401 und2532 hieb ihm846 sein rechtes1188 Ohr3775 ab851.

51 JEsus2424 aber1161 antwortete611 und2532 sprach2036: Lasset1439 sie846 doch2193 so ferne machen5127! Und er846 rührete sein Ohr5621 an680 und heilete ihn.

52 JEsus2424 aber1161 sprach2036 zu4314 den Hohenpriestern749 und2532 Hauptleuten4755 des Tempels2411 und2532 den Ältesten4245, die über1909 ihn kommen1831 waren3854: Ihr846 seid, wie5613 zu einem Mörder3027, mit1909 Schwertern3162 und2532 mit3326 Stangen3586 ausgegangen.

53 Ich1691 bin5607 täglich bei3326 euch5216 im2596 Tempel2411 gewesen, und235 ihr habt2076 keine3756 Hand5495 an1722 mich3450 gelegt1614; aber dies3778 ist5607 eure5216 Stunde5610 und die Macht1849 der1909 Finsternis4655.

54 Sie846 griffen4815 ihn aber1161 und2532 führeten ihn und brachten71 ihn in1519 des846 Hohenpriesters749 Haus3624. Petrus4074 aber1161 folgete von ferne3113.

55 Da zündeten681 sie846 ein Feuer4442 an1722 mitten3319 im1722 Palast833 und1161 setzten sich zusammen4776, und2532 Petrus4074 setzte2521 sich unter sie.

56 Da sah1492 ihn846 eine5100 Magd3814 sitzen2521 bei dem Licht5457 und1161 sah816 eben auf ihn und2532 sprach2036 zu4314 ihm846: Dieser3778 war2258 auch2532 mit4862 ihm846.

57 Er846 aber1161 verleugnete720 ihn846 und sprach3004: Weib1135, ich kenne1492 ihn nicht3756.

58 Und2532 über3326 eine kleine Weile1024 sah1492 ihn846 ein anderer2087 und2532 sprach5346: Du4771 bist1488 auch der1537 einer. Petrus4074 aber1161 sprach2036: Mensch444, ich846 bin‘s1510 nicht3756!

59 Und2532 über1909 eine Weile, bei5616 einer5100 Stunde5610, bekräftigte1340 es ein3391 anderer und sprach3004: Wahrlich225, dieser war2258 auch mit3326 ihm846; denn er3778 ist2076 ein Galiläer1057.

60 Petrus4074 aber1161 sprach2036: Mensch444, ich weiß1492 nicht3756, was3739 du2980 sagest! Und2532 alsbald3916, da er846 noch2089 redete3004, krähete der Hahn220.

61 Und2532 der HErr2962 wandte sich4762 und2532 sah1689 Petrus4074 an. Und Petrus4074 gedachte5279 an des HErrn2962 Wort3056, das er846 zu ihm gesagt hatte2036: Ehe4250 denn5613 der Hahn220 krähet, wirst du mich3165 dreimal5151 verleugnen533.

62 Und2532 Petrus4074 ging hinaus1831 und weinete bitterlich4090.

63 Die Männer435 aber, die JEsum2424 hielten4912, verspotteten1702 ihn846 und2532 schlugen1194 ihn,

64 verdecketen ihn846 und2532 schlugen5180 ihn846 ins Angesicht4383 und2532 fragten1905 ihn846 und sprachen3004: Weissage4395, wer5101 ist‘s2076, der dich4571 schlug3817?

65 Und2532 viel4183 andere2087 Lästerungen987 sagten3004 sie846 wider1519 ihn.

66 Und2532 als5613 es3004 Tag2250 ward1096, sammelten sich4863 die1438 Ältesten4244 des2532 Volks2992, die Hohenpriester749 und5037 Schriftgelehrten1122, und2532 führeten ihn846 hinauf vor1519 ihren Rat4892

67 und1161 sprachen: Bist1488 du4771 Christus5547? Sage2036 es uns2254! Er sprach2036 aber1487 zu ihnen: Sage2036 ich‘s euch5213, so1437 glaubet4100 ihr846‘s nicht3364;

68 frage2065 ich aber1161, so1437 antwortet611 ihr nicht3364 und2532 lasset mich3427 doch nicht los630.

69 Darum von575 nun an1537 wird2071 des Menschen444 Sohn sitzen2521 zur rechten1188 Hand der Kraft1411 Gottes2316.

70 Da1161 sprachen2036 sie1161 alle3956: Bist1488 du4771 denn3767 Gottes2316 Sohn? Er sprach5346 zu4314 ihnen: Ihr846 saget3004 es, denn3754 ich1473 bin‘s1510.

71 Sie846 aber1161 sprachen2036: Was5101 bedürfen5532 wir weiter2089 Zeugnis3141? Wir haben‘s2192 selbst846 gehöret aus575 seinem Munde4750.

Das Evangelium nach Lukas

Kapitel 22

1 NOW the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the passover, was at hand.

1 Es war aber1161 nahe das Fest1859 der süßen Brote106, das da1448 Ostern3957 heißt3004.

2 And the high priests and the scribes sought how to kill him; but they were afraid of the people.

2 Und2532 die Hohenpriester749 und2532 Schriftgelehrten1122 trachteten, wie4459 sie846 ihn töteten337, und2212 fürchteten sich5399 vor dem Volk2992.

3 But Satan had taken possession of Judas who is called of Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve.

3 Es war5607 aber1161 der Satanas4567 gefahren1525 in1519 den Judas2455, genannt1941 Ischariot2469, der da war aus1537 der Zahl706 der Zwölfe.

4 So he went away, and spoke with the high priests and the scribes and officers of the temple, about delivering him to them.

4 Und2532 er846 ging565 hin und2532 redete mit4814 den Hohenpriestern749 und mit den Hauptleuten4755, wie4459 er ihn wollte ihnen überantworten3860.

5 And they were glad and promised to give him money.

5 Und2532 sie5463 wurden froh und2532 gelobten4934, ihm846 Geld694 zu geben1325.

6 And he agreed with them, and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the people.

6 Und2532 er846 versprach1843 es und2532 suchte2212 Gelegenheit2120, daß er ihn überantwortete3860 ohne817 Rumor.

7 Then the day of unleavened bread came, on which it was the custom to kill the passover lamb.

7 Es kam2064 nun1161 der Tag2250 der süßen Brote106, auf welchen man1163 mußte opfern2380 das3739 Osterlamm3957.

8 So Jesus sent Peter and John, and said to them, Go and prepare the passover for us to eat.

8 Und2532 er sandte649 Petrus4074 und2532 Johannes2491 und sprach2036: Gehet hin4198, bereitet2090 uns2254 das Osterlamm3957, auf daß2443 wir‘s essen5315.

9 They said to him, Where do you wish us to prepare?

9 Sie846 aber1161 sprachen2036 zu ihm: Wo4226 willst2309 du, daß wir‘s bereiten2090?

10 He said to them, Behold, when you enter the city, you will meet a man carrying a skin full of water; follow him. And wherever he enters,

10 Er846 sprach2036 zu ihnen: Siehe2400, wenn ihr846 hineinkommt in1519 die Stadt4172, wird euch5216 ein1525 Mensch444 begegnen4876, der trägt941 einen Wasserkrug2765; folget ihm190 nach1519 in das Haus3614, da1161 er hineingehet,

11 Say to the master of the house, Our Teacher says, Where is the guest room, where I may eat the passover with my disciples?

11 und2532 saget3004 zu dem Hausherrn3617: Der Meister1320 läßt dir4671 sagen2046: Wo4226 ist2076 die Herberge2646, darinnen ich das Osterlamm3957 essen5315 möge mit3326 meinen3450 Jüngern3101?

12 And behold, he will show you an upper room, large and furnished; there make ready.

12 Und er2548 wird euch5213 einen großen3173 gepflasterten Saal508 zeigen1166; daselbst1563 bereitet2090 es.

13 And they went and found just as he had said to them; and they prepared the passover.

13 Sie gingen565 hin und1161 fanden2147, wie2531 er846 ihnen gesagt hatte2046, und2532 bereiteten2090 das Osterlamm3957.

14 And when the time came, Jesus came and sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.

14 Und2532 da3753 die Stunde5610 kam1096, setzte er846 sich377 nieder und die zwölf1427 Apostel652 mit4862 ihm.

15 And he said to them, I have desired with desire to eat this passover with you before I suffer;

15 Und2532 er846 sprach2036 zu4314 ihnen: Mich3165 hat1937 herzlich1939 verlanget, dies Osterlamm3957 mit3326 euch5216 zu essen5315, ehe4253 denn ich5124 leide3958.

16 For I say to you, that henceforth, I will not eat it, until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.

16 Denn1063 ich sage3004 euch1722, daß ich hinfort3765 nicht3364 mehr davon essen5315 werde5315, bis daß es erfüllet4137 werde im1537 Reich932 Gottes2316.

17 And he took the cup and gave thanks and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves.

17 Und2532 er1209 nahm2983 den Kelch4221, dankete und2532 sprach2036: Nehmet denselbigen und teilet1266 ihn5124 unter euch1438.

18 For I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.

18 Denn1063 ich sage3004 euch: Ich werde4095 nicht3364 trinken4095 von575 dem Gewächse des Weinstocks288, bis das932 Reich Gottes2316 komme2064.

19 And he took bread and gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them and said, This is my body, which is given for your sake; this do in remembrance of me.

19 Und2532 er846 nahm2983 das5124 Brot740, dankete und2532 brach‘s2806 und gab‘s1325 ihnen und sprach3004: Das3588 ist2076 mein3450 Leib4983, der für5228 euch5216 gegeben1325 wird; das5124 tut4160 zu1519 meinem1699 Gedächtnis364!

20 And likewise also the cup, after they had eaten the supper, he said, This is the cup of the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.

20 Desselbigengleichen auch den Kelch4221 nach3326 dem3588 Abendmahl1172 und2532 sprach3004: Das5124 ist1632 der Kelch4221, das neue2537 Testament1242 in1722 meinem3450 Blut129, das für5228 euch5216 vergossen wird.

21 But behold, the hand of him who is to betray me is on the table.

21 Doch4133 siehe2400, die Hand5495 meines Verräters3860 ist mit3326 mir3165 über1909 Tische5132!

22 And the Son of man will go, just as he has been destined; but woe to the man by whose hand he will be betrayed!

22 Und2532 zwar3303, des Menschen444 Sohn gehet hin4198, wie2596 es1565 beschlossen ist; doch4133 wehe3759 demselbigen Menschen444, durch1223 welchen3739 er3724 verraten3860 wird!

23 And they began to enquire among themselves, which one of them was to do this act.

23 Und2532 sie846 fingen an756 zu4314 fragen4802 unter1537 sich selbst1438, welcher es5124 doch686 wäre unter ihnen846, der das1498 tun4238 würde3195.

24 There was also a dispute among them, as to who is the greatest among them.

24 Es erhub sich auch1161 ein Zank5379 unter1722 ihnen846, welcher5101 unter ihnen846 sollte1380 für1511 den Größten3187 gehalten werden1096.

25 Jesus said to them, The kings of the Gentiles are also their owners; and those who rule over them are called benefactors.

25 Er846 aber1161 sprach2036 zu ihnen846: Die846 weltlichen1484 Könige935 herrschen2961, und2532 die Gewaltigen1850 heißt2564 man gnädige Herren2110.

26 But not so with you; but he who is great among you, let him be the least, and he who is a leader be like a minister.

26 Ihr5210 aber1161 nicht3756 also3779, sondern235 der Größte3187 unter1722 euch5213 soll sein1096 wie5613 der Jüngste3501 und2532 der Vornehmste2233 wie5613 ein Diener1247.

27 For who is greater, he who sits down or he who serves? Is it not he who sits down? but I am among you as one who serves.

27 Denn1063 welcher5101 ist der Größte3187, der zu345 Tische sitzt, oder2228 der da dienet? Ist‘s nicht3780 also, daß der zu345 Tische sitzt? Ich1473 aber1161 bin1510 unter euch5216 wie5613 ein Diener1247.

28 You are those who have remained with me, throughout my trials.

28 Ihr5210 aber1161 seid‘s, die ihr2075 beharret habt1265 bei3326 mir1700 in1722 meinen3450 Anfechtungen3986.

29 And I promise you, just as my Father has promised me, a kingdom,

29 Und2504 ich will1303 euch5213 das932 Reich bescheiden, wie2531 mir3427‘s mein3450 Vater3962 beschieden hat1303,

30 That you may eat and drink at the table in my kingdom; and you will sit on chairs, and judge the twelve tribes of Israel.

30 daß2443 ihr essen2068 und2532 trinken4095 sollt über1909 meinem3450 Tische5132 in1722 meinem3450 Reich932 und2532 sitzen2523 auf1909 Stühlen2362 und richten2919 die zwölf1427 Geschlechter5443 Israels2474.

31 And Jesus said to Simon, Simon, behold Satan wants to sift all of you as wheat;

31 Der Herr2962 aber1161 sprach2036: Simon4613, Simon4613, siehe2400, der Satanas4567 hat euer begehrt1809, daß er euch5209 möchte sichten4617 wie5613 den Weizen4621!

32 But I have made supplication for you that your faith may not weaken; and even you in time will repent, and strengthen your brethren.

32 Ich1473 aber1161 habe für4012 dich4675 gebeten1189, daß3363 dein4675 Glaube4102 nicht3363 aufhöre1587. Und2532 wenn du4771 dermaleinst4218 dich bekehrest, so stärke4741 deine4675 Brüder80.

33 Simon said to him, My Lord, I am ready with you, even for the prison and for death.

33 Er846 sprach2036 aber1161 zu ihm: HErr2962, ich bin1510 bereit2092 mit3326 dir4675 ins1519 Gefängnis5438 und2532 in1519 den Tod2288 zu gehen4198.

34 Jesus said to him, I say to you, Simon, the cock will not crow today, until you have denied three times that you know me.

34 Er aber1161 sprach2036: Petrus4074, ich sage3004 dir4671, der Hahn220 wird5455 heute4594 nicht3364 krähen5455, ehe4250 denn2228 du3361 dreimal5151 verleugnet hast533, daß du1492 mich3165 kennest.

35 And he said to them, When I sent you out without purses, and without bags, and shoes, did you lack anything? They said to him, Not a thing.

35 Und2532 er sprach2036 zu ihnen: So1161 oft3753 ich euch5209 gesandt649 habe ohne817 Beutel905, ohne Tasche4082 und2532 ohne Schuhe, habt ihr846 auch2532 je Mangel gehabt5302? Sie5100 sprachen2036: Nie3762 keinen.

36 He said to them, From now on he who has purses, let him take them, and the bag likewise; and he who has no sword, let him sell his robe and buy for himself a sword.

36 Da2532 sprach2036 er846 zu ihnen: Aber2532 nun3767, wer einen Beutel905 hat2192, der3668 nehme142 ihn, desselbigengleichen auch2532 die Tasche4082; wer aber nicht3361 hat2192, verkaufe4453 sein Kleid2440 und235 kaufe59 ein Schwert3162.

37 For I say to you, that this which is written must be fulfilled in me, He will be numbered among the wicked; for all the things concerning me will be fulfilled.

37 Denn1063 ich sage3004 euch5213: Es muß1163 noch2089 das5124 auch2532 vollendet werden5055 an mir1698, das1063 geschrieben1125 stehet: Er ist2192 unter3326 die Übeltäter459 gerechnet3049. Denn3754 was von4012 mir1700 geschrieben ist, das hat1722 ein Ende5056.

38 And they said to him, Our Lord, behold here are two swords. He said to them, That is enough.

38 Sie sprachen2036 aber1161: HErr2962, siehe2400, hier5602 sind zwei1417 Schwerter3162. Er846 aber1161 sprach2036 zu ihnen: Es ist2076 genug2425.

39 And he went out and went away, as it was his custom, to the Mount of the Home of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.

39 Und2532 er2532 ging hinaus1831 nach2596 seiner846 Gewohnheit1485 an den Ölberg3735. Es folgeten ihm190 aber4198 seine846 Jünger3101 nach1519 an denselbigen Ort.

40 And when he arrived at a place, he said to them, Pray that you may not enter into temptation.

40 Und1161 als er dahin kam1096, sprach2036 er zu ihnen: Betet4336, auf1909 daß ihr846 nicht3361 in1519 Anfechtung3986 fallet1525!

41 And he separated from them, about the distance of a stone's throw, and he kneeled down, and prayed,

41 Und2532 er846 riß sich645 von575 ihnen846 bei5616 einem Steinwurf3037 und2532 kniete1119 nieder5087, betete4336

42 Saying, O Father, if you will, let this cup pass from me; but not as I will, but your will be done.

42 und sprach3004: Vater3962, willst du1014, so1487 nimm diesen5124 Kelch4221 von575 mir1700; doch4133 nicht3361 mein3450, sondern235 dein4674 Wille2307 geschehe1096.

43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, to strengthen him.

43 Es erschien3700 ihm846 aber1161 ein Engel32 vom575 Himmel3772 und stärkete ihn846.

44 And he was in fear, and prayed earnestly; and his sweat became like drops of blood; and he fell down upon the ground.

44 Und2532 es kam2597, daß er846 mit1722 dem Tode74 rang, und betete4336 heftiger1617. Es ward1096 aber1161 sein1096 Schweiß2402 wie5616 Blutstropfen2361, die fielen auf1909 die Erde1093.

45 Then he rose up from his prayer, and came to his disciples, and found them sleeping because of distress.

45 Und2532 er846 stund auf450 vom575 Gebet4335 und kam2064 zu4314 seinen846 Jüngern3101 und fand2147 sie schlafend vor575 Traurigkeit3077.

46 And he said to them, Why do you sleep? rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.

46 Und2532 sprach2036 zu ihnen: Was5101 schlafet ihr846? Stehet auf450 und betet4336, auf daß3363 ihr2518 nicht in1519 Anfechtung3986 fallet1525!

47 While he was still speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who is called Judas, one of the twelve, coming before them; and he drew near to Jesus and kissed him. For this was the sign he had given them, He whom I kiss, it is he.

47 Da1448 er846 aber1161 noch2089 redete2980, siehe2400, die Schar3793 und2532 einer1520 von den Zwölfen1427, genannt3004 Judas2455, ging vor4281 ihnen846 her und2532 nahete sich zu JEsu2424, ihn zu küssen5368.

48 Jesus said to him, Judas, do you betray the Son of man with a kiss?

48 JEsus2424 aber1161 sprach2036 zu ihm: Judas2455, verrätst du3860 des846 Menschen444 Sohn mit einem Kuß5370?

49 When those who were with him saw what happened, they said to him, Our Lord, shall we smite them with swords?

49 Da aber1161 sahen1492, die um4012 ihn waren, was da werden2071 wollte, sprachen2036 sie846 zu1722 ihm846: HErr, sollen wir mit dem Schwert3162 dreinschlagen?

50 And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

50 Und2532 einer5100 aus1537 ihnen schlug3960 des846 Hohenpriesters749 Knecht1401 und2532 hieb ihm846 sein rechtes1188 Ohr3775 ab851.

51 But Jesus answered and said, It is enough for the present. And he touched the ear of him who was wounded, and healed it.

51 JEsus2424 aber1161 antwortete611 und2532 sprach2036: Lasset1439 sie846 doch2193 so ferne machen5127! Und er846 rührete sein Ohr5621 an680 und heilete ihn.

52 And Jesus said to the high priests and the elders and the officers of the temple, who had come against him, Have you come out against me to arrest me with swords and staves, as if you were against a bandit?

52 JEsus2424 aber1161 sprach2036 zu4314 den Hohenpriestern749 und2532 Hauptleuten4755 des Tempels2411 und2532 den Ältesten4245, die über1909 ihn kommen1831 waren3854: Ihr846 seid, wie5613 zu einem Mörder3027, mit1909 Schwertern3162 und2532 mit3326 Stangen3586 ausgegangen.

53 I was with you every day in the temple, and you did not even point your hands at me; but this is your turn, and the power of darkness.

53 Ich1691 bin5607 täglich bei3326 euch5216 im2596 Tempel2411 gewesen, und235 ihr habt2076 keine3756 Hand5495 an1722 mich3450 gelegt1614; aber dies3778 ist5607 eure5216 Stunde5610 und die Macht1849 der1909 Finsternis4655.

54 And they arrested him, and brought him to the house of the high priest. And Simon followed him afar off.

54 Sie846 griffen4815 ihn aber1161 und2532 führeten ihn und brachten71 ihn in1519 des846 Hohenpriesters749 Haus3624. Petrus4074 aber1161 folgete von ferne3113.

55 And they kindled a fire in the midst of the courtyard, and they sat around it; and Simon also sat among them.

55 Da zündeten681 sie846 ein Feuer4442 an1722 mitten3319 im1722 Palast833 und1161 setzten sich zusammen4776, und2532 Petrus4074 setzte2521 sich unter sie.

56 And a young woman saw him sitting by the fire, and she looked at him and said, This man also was with him.

56 Da sah1492 ihn846 eine5100 Magd3814 sitzen2521 bei dem Licht5457 und1161 sah816 eben auf ihn und2532 sprach2036 zu4314 ihm846: Dieser3778 war2258 auch2532 mit4862 ihm846.

57 But he denied, and said, Woman, I do not know him.

57 Er846 aber1161 verleugnete720 ihn846 und sprach3004: Weib1135, ich kenne1492 ihn nicht3756.

58 And after a little while, another saw him, and said to him, You also are one of them. But Peter said, I am not.

58 Und2532 über3326 eine kleine Weile1024 sah1492 ihn846 ein anderer2087 und2532 sprach5346: Du4771 bist1488 auch der1537 einer. Petrus4074 aber1161 sprach2036: Mensch444, ich846 bin‘s1510 nicht3756!

59 And after an hour, another one argued and said, Truly, this man also was with him; for he is also a Galilean.

59 Und2532 über1909 eine Weile, bei5616 einer5100 Stunde5610, bekräftigte1340 es ein3391 anderer und sprach3004: Wahrlich225, dieser war2258 auch mit3326 ihm846; denn er3778 ist2076 ein Galiläer1057.

60 Peter said, Man, I do not know what you are saying. And immediately while he was still speaking, the cock crew.

60 Petrus4074 aber1161 sprach2036: Mensch444, ich weiß1492 nicht3756, was3739 du2980 sagest! Und2532 alsbald3916, da er846 noch2089 redete3004, krähete der Hahn220.

61 And Jesus turned and looked at Peter. And Simon remembered the word of our Lord, that he said to him, Before the cock crows you will deny me three times.

61 Und2532 der HErr2962 wandte sich4762 und2532 sah1689 Petrus4074 an. Und Petrus4074 gedachte5279 an des HErrn2962 Wort3056, das er846 zu ihm gesagt hatte2036: Ehe4250 denn5613 der Hahn220 krähet, wirst du mich3165 dreimal5151 verleugnen533.

62 And Simon went outside and wept bitterly.

62 Und2532 Petrus4074 ging hinaus1831 und weinete bitterlich4090.

63 And the men who held Jesus mocked him,

63 Die Männer435 aber, die JEsum2424 hielten4912, verspotteten1702 ihn846 und2532 schlugen1194 ihn,

64 And they covered his head, and smote him on his face, saying, Prophesy, who has struck you.

64 verdecketen ihn846 und2532 schlugen5180 ihn846 ins Angesicht4383 und2532 fragten1905 ihn846 und sprachen3004: Weissage4395, wer5101 ist‘s2076, der dich4571 schlug3817?

65 And many other things they blasphemed and said against him.

65 Und2532 viel4183 andere2087 Lästerungen987 sagten3004 sie846 wider1519 ihn.

66 As soon as it was daybreak, the elders and the high priests and the scribes gathered together, and brought him up to their council chamber.

66 Und2532 als5613 es3004 Tag2250 ward1096, sammelten sich4863 die1438 Ältesten4244 des2532 Volks2992, die Hohenpriester749 und5037 Schriftgelehrten1122, und2532 führeten ihn846 hinauf vor1519 ihren Rat4892

67 And they said to him, If you are the Christ, tell us. He said to them, If I tell you, you will not believe me.

67 und1161 sprachen: Bist1488 du4771 Christus5547? Sage2036 es uns2254! Er sprach2036 aber1487 zu ihnen: Sage2036 ich‘s euch5213, so1437 glaubet4100 ihr846‘s nicht3364;

68 And if I ask you, you will not answer me nor release me.

68 frage2065 ich aber1161, so1437 antwortet611 ihr nicht3364 und2532 lasset mich3427 doch nicht los630.

69 From henceforth the Son of man will sit at the right hand of the power of God.

69 Darum von575 nun an1537 wird2071 des Menschen444 Sohn sitzen2521 zur rechten1188 Hand der Kraft1411 Gottes2316.

70 And they all said, Are you then the Son of God? Jesus said to them, You say that I am.

70 Da1161 sprachen2036 sie1161 alle3956: Bist1488 du4771 denn3767 Gottes2316 Sohn? Er sprach5346 zu4314 ihnen: Ihr846 saget3004 es, denn3754 ich1473 bin‘s1510.

71 And they said, Why then do we need witnesses? for we have heard it from his own mouth.

71 Sie846 aber1161 sprachen2036: Was5101 bedürfen5532 wir weiter2089 Zeugnis3141? Wir haben‘s2192 selbst846 gehöret aus575 seinem Munde4750.
