以賽亞書

第53章

1 我們所傳的［our report］有誰信呢？耶和華的膀臂向誰顯露呢？

2 他在耶和華面前必［shall］生長如嫩芽，像根出於乾地。他無佳形美容；我們要［shall］看見他的時候，也無美貌使我們切慕［desire］他。

3 他被藐視，被人厭棄；多受痛苦，常經憂患。我們掩面，彷彿向他掩面不看的一樣［we hid as it were [our] faces from him］；他被藐視［he was despised］，我們也不尊重他。

4 他誠然擔當我們的憂患，背負我們的痛苦；我們卻以為他受責罰，被神擊打苦待了。

5 哪知他為我們的過犯受害，為我們的罪孽壓傷。因他受的刑罰，我們得平安；因他受的鞭傷，我們得醫治。

6 我們都如羊走迷；各人偏行己路；耶和華使我們眾人的罪孽都歸在他身上。

7 他被欺壓受苦［and he was afflicted］，仍［yet］不開口；他像綿羊羔［lamb］被牽到宰殺之地，又像羊在剪毛的人手下無聲，他也是這樣不開口。

8 從牢獄和審判，他被取出［He was taken from prison and from judgment］；誰能述說他的世代呢［who shall declare his generation］？原來［for］他受鞭打、從活人之地被剪除，是因我百姓的罪過［transgression］。

9 他使他的墳墓［he made his grave］與惡人同埋，死的時候與財主同葬；因為他未行強暴，口中也沒有詭詐［because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth］。

10 耶和華卻喜悅［pleased］將他壓傷；他［he］使他受痛苦。你要以他性命為贖罪祭之時［when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin］，他必看見後裔，並且延長年日，耶和華所喜悅的事必在他手中亨通。

11 他必看見自己勞苦的功效，便心滿意足。我的義僕因有知識必使多人稱義［by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many］；因［for］他要擔當他們的罪孽。

12 所以，我要使他與位大的同分，與強盛的均分擄物。因為他將命傾倒，以致於死；他也被列在罪犯之中。他卻擔當多人的罪，又為罪犯代求。

Chapter 53

1 WHO has believed our report. And to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?

2 For he grew up before him like an infant and like a root out of the dry ground; he had no form nor comeliness; and when we saw that he had no beauty, we denied him.

3 He is despised and humbled of men; a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and we turned our faces away from him; we despised him and we esteemed him not.

4 Surely he has borne our sorrows and carried our griefs; but we considered him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

5 But he was slain for our sins, he was afflicted for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and with his wounds we are healed.

6 All we like sheep have strayed; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the sins of us all.

7 He drew near and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; he was led as a lamb to the slaughter; and as an ewe before her shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who can describe his anguish? For he was cut off out of the land of the living; and some of the evil men of my people struck him.

9 He made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, although he had done no iniquity, neither was there any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the LORD to afflict him; he has put him to grief; he laid down his life as an offering for sin, that posterity may see, and his days shall be prolonged, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

11 He shall see the reward of the travail of his soul, and be satisfied with the knowledge; he shall justify the righteous; for he is a servant of many, and he shall bear their sins.

12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he has poured out his life to death; and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bore the sins of many, and died the death of transgressors.

6 All we like sheep have strayed; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the sins of us all.

7 他被欺壓受苦［and he was afflicted］，仍［yet］不開口；他像綿羊羔［lamb］被牽到宰殺之地，又像羊在剪毛的人手下無聲，他也是這樣不開口。

7 He drew near and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; he was led as a lamb to the slaughter; and as an ewe before her shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.

8 從牢獄和審判，他被取出［He was taken from prison and from judgment］；誰能述說他的世代呢［who shall declare his generation］？原來［for］他受鞭打、從活人之地被剪除，是因我百姓的罪過［transgression］。

8 He was taken from prison and from judgment; and who can describe his anguish? For he was cut off out of the land of the living; and some of the evil men of my people struck him.

9 He made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, although he had done no iniquity, neither was there any deceit in his mouth.

10 Yet it pleased the LORD to afflict him; he has put him to grief; he laid down his life as an offering for sin, that posterity may see, and his days shall be prolonged, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

11 他必看見自己勞苦的功效，便心滿意足。我的義僕因有知識必使多人稱義［by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many］；因［for］他要擔當他們的罪孽。

11 He shall see the reward of the travail of his soul, and be satisfied with the knowledge; he shall justify the righteous; for he is a servant of many, and he shall bear their sins.

12 所以，我要使他與位大的同分，與強盛的均分擄物。因為他將命傾倒，以致於死；他也被列在罪犯之中。他卻擔當多人的罪，又為罪犯代求。

12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he has poured out his life to death; and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bore the sins of many, and died the death of transgressors.
