3 From thirty7970 years8141 old1121 and upward4605 even until5704 fifty2572 years8141 old,1121 all3605 that enter935 into413 the host,6635 to do6213 the work4399 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation.4150

4 This2063 shall be the service5656 of the sons1121 of Kohath6955 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150 about the most6944 holy6944 things:

5 And when the camp4264 sets5265 forward,5265 Aaron175 shall come,935 and his sons,1121 and they shall take3381 down3381 the covering4539 veil,6532 and cover3680 the ark727 of testimony5715 with it:

6 And shall put5414 thereon5921 the covering3681 of badgers'8476 skins,5785 and shall spread6566 over4605 it a cloth899 wholly3632 of blue,8504 and shall put7760 in the staves905 thereof.

7 And on the table7979 of show bread6440 they shall spread6566 a cloth899 of blue,8504 and put5414 thereon5921 the dishes,7086 and the spoons,3709 and the bowls,4518 and covers7184 to cover5258 with: and the continual8548 bread3899 shall be thereon:5921

10 And they shall put5414 it and all3605 the vessels3627 thereof within413 a covering4372 of badgers'8476 skins,5785 and shall put5414 it on a bar.4132

11 And on the golden2091 altar4196 they shall spread6566 a cloth899 of blue,8504 and cover3680 it with a covering4372 of badgers'8476 skins,5785 and shall put7725 to the staves905 thereof:

12 And they shall take3947 all3605 the instruments3627 of ministry,8335 with which834 they minister8334 in the sanctuary,6944 and put5414 them in a cloth899 of blue,8504 and cover3680 them with a covering4372 of badgers'8476 skins,5785 and shall put5414 them on5921 a bar:4132

13 And they shall take away the ashes1878 from the altar,4196 and spread6566 a purple713 cloth899 thereon:5921

14 And they shall put5414 on it all3605 the vessels3627 thereof, with which834 they minister8334 about5921 it, even the censers,4289 the meat hooks,4207 and the shovels,3257 and the basins,4219 all3605 the vessels3627 of the altar;4196 and they shall spread6566 on it a covering3681 of badgers'8476 skins,5785 and put7760 to the staves905 of it.

15 And when Aaron175 and his sons1121 have made an end3615 of covering3680 the sanctuary,6944 and all3605 the vessels3627 of the sanctuary,6944 as the camp4264 is to set5265 forward;5265 after310 that, the sons1121 of Kohath6955 shall come935 to bear5375 it: but they shall not touch5060 any holy6944 thing, lest they die.4191 These428 things are the burden4853 of the sons1121 of Kohath6955 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation.4150

16 And to the office6486 of Eleazar499 the son1121 of Aaron175 the priest3548 pertains the oil8081 for the light,3974 and the sweet5561 incense,7004 and the daily8548 meat offering,4503 and the anointing4888 oil,8081 and the oversight6486 of all3605 the tabernacle,4908 and of all3605 that therein is, in the sanctuary,6944 and in the vessels3627 thereof.

17 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 to Moses4872 and to Aaron 175saying,559

18 Cut3772 you not off the tribe7626 of the families4940 of the Kohathites6956 from among8432 the Levites:3881

19 But thus do6213 to them, that they may live,2421 and not die,4191 when they approach5066 to the most6944 holy6944 things: Aaron175 and his sons1121 shall go935 in, and appoint7760 them every376 one376 to his service5656 and to his burden:4853

20 But they shall not go935 in to see7200 when the holy6944 things are covered,1104 lest they die.4191

21 And the LORD3068 spoke1696 to Moses,4872 saying,559

23 From thirty7970 years8141 old1121 and upward4605 until5704 fifty2572 years8141 old1121 shall you number6485 them; all3605 that enter935 in to perform6633 the service,5656 to do5647 the work5656 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation.4150

24 This2063 is the service5656 of the families4940 of the Gershonites,1649 to serve,5647 and for burdens:4853

25 And they shall bear5375 the curtains3407 of the tabernacle,4908 and the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150 his covering,4372 and the covering4372 of the badgers'8476 skins that is above4605 on it, and the hanging4539 for the door6607 of the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150

26 And the hangings7050 of the court,2691 and the hanging4539 for the door6607 of the gate8179 of the court,2691 which834 is by the tabernacle4908 and by the altar4196 round5439 about, and their cords,4340 and all3605 the instruments3627 of their service,5656 and all3605 that is made6213 for them: so shall they serve.5647

27 At the appointment6310 of Aaron175 and his sons1121 shall be all3605 the service5656 of the sons1121 of the Gershonites,1649 in all3605 their burdens,4853 and in all3605 their service:5656 and you shall appoint6485 to them in charge4931 all3605 their burdens.4853

28 This2063 is the service5656 of the families4940 of the sons1121 of Gershon1647 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation:4150 and their charge4931 shall be under the hand3027 of Ithamar385 the son1121 of Aaron175 the priest.3548

29 As for the sons1121 of Merari,4847 you shall number6485 them after their families,4940 by the house1004 of their fathers;1

30 From thirty7970 years8141 old1121 and upward4605 even to fifty2572 years8141 old1121 shall you number6485 them, every3605 one that enters935 into the service,6635 to do5647 the work5656 of the tabernacle168 of the congregation.4150

31 And this2063 is the charge4931 of their burden,4853 according to all3605 their service5656 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation;4150 the boards7175 of the tabernacle,4908 and the bars1280 thereof, and the pillars5982 thereof, and sockets134 thereof,

32 And the pillars5982 of the court2691 round5439 about, and their sockets,134 and their pins,3489 and their cords,4340 with all3605 their instruments,3627 and with all3605 their service:5656 and by name8034 you shall reckon6485 the instruments3627 of the charge4931 of their burden.4853

33 This2063 is the service5656 of the families4940 of the sons1121 of Merari,4847 according to all3605 their service,5656 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150 under the hand3027 of Ithamar385 the son1121 of Aaron175 the priest.3548

34 And Moses4872 and Aaron175 and the chief5387 of the congregation5712 numbered6485 the sons1121 of the Kohathites6956 after their families,4940 and after the house1004 of their fathers,1

35 From thirty7970 years8141 old1121 and upward4605 even to fifty2572 years8141 old,1121 every3605 one that enters935 into the service,6635 for the work5656 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation:4150

36 And those that were numbered6485 of them by their families4940 were two thousand505 seven7651 hundred3967 and fifty.2572

37 These428 were they that were numbered6485 of the families4940 of the Kohathites,6956 all3605 that might do5647 service5647 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150 which834 Moses4872 and Aaron175 did number6485 according5921 to the commandment6310 of the LORD3068 by the hand3027 of Moses.4872

38 And those that were numbered6485 of the sons1121 of Gershon,1647 throughout their families,4940 and by the house1004 of their fathers,1

39 From thirty7970 years8141 old1121 and upward4605 even to fifty2572 years8141 old,1121 every3605 one that enters935 into the service,6635 for the work5656 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150

40 Even those that were numbered6485 of them, throughout their families,4940 by the house1004 of their fathers,1 were two thousand505 and six8337 hundred3967 and thirty.7970

41 These428 are they that were numbered6485 of the families4940 of the sons1121 of Gershon, of all3605 that might do5647 service5647 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150 whom834 Moses4872 and Aaron175 did number6485 according5921 to the commandment6310 of the LORD.3068

42 And those that were numbered6485 of the families4940 of the sons1121 of Merari,4847 throughout their families,4940 by the house1004 of their fathers,1

43 From thirty7970 years8141 old1121 and upward4605 even to fifty2572 years8141 old,1121 every3605 one that enters935 into the service,6635 for the work5656 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation,4150

44 Even those that were numbered6485 of them after their families,4940 were three7969 thousand505 and two hundred.3967

45 These428 be those that were numbered6485 of the families4940 of the sons1121 of Merari,4847 whom834 Moses4872 and Aaron175 numbered6485 according5921 to the word6310 of the LORD3068 by the hand3027 of Moses.4872

46 All3605 those that were numbered6485 of the Levites,3881 whom834 Moses4872 and Aaron175 and the chief5387 of Israel3478 numbered,6485 after their families,4940 and after the house1004 of their fathers,1

47 From thirty7970 years8141 old1121 and upward4605 even to fifty2572 years8141 old,1121 every3605 one that came935 to do5647 the service5656 of the ministry,5656 and the service5656 of the burden4853 in the tabernacle168 of the congregation.4150

48 Even those that were numbered6485 of them, were eight8083 thousand505 and five2568 hundred3967 and fourscore,8084

49 According5921 to the commandment6310 of the LORD3068 they were numbered6485 by the hand3027 of Moses,4872 every376 one376 according5921 to his service,5656 and according5921 to his burden:4853 thus were they numbered6485 of him, as the LORD3068 commanded6680 Moses.4872
