|
1 耶穌說了這些［these］話，就同門徒出去，過了汲淪溪。在那裏有一個園子，他和門徒進去了。
|
1 When Jesus2424 had spoken2036 these5023 words, he went1831 forth1831 with his disciples3101 over4008 the brook5493 Cedron,2748 where3699 was a garden,2779 into1519 the which3739 he entered,1525 and his disciples.3101

|
2 賣耶穌的猶大也知道那地方，因為耶穌和門徒屢次上那裏去聚集。
|
2 And Judas2455 also,2532 which3588 betrayed3860 him, knew1492 the place:5117 for Jesus2424 often4178 resorted4863 thither1563 with his disciples.3101
|
|
3 猶大領了一隊人［men］，和祭司長並法利賽人的差役，拿著燈籠、火把、兵器，就來到園裏。
|
3 Judas2455 then,3767 having received2983 a band4686 of men and officers5257 from the chief749 priests749 and Pharisees,5330 comes2064 thither1563 with lanterns5322 and torches2985 and weapons.3696
|
|
4 耶穌知道將要臨到自己的一切事，就出來對他們說：「你們找誰？」
|
4 Jesus2424 therefore,3767 knowing1492 all3956 things that should come2064 on him, went1831 forth,1831 and said2036 to them, Whom5101 seek2212 you?
|
|
5 他們回答他［him］說：「找拿撒勒的［of Nazareth］耶穌。」耶穌對他們［unto them］說：「我就是。」賣他的猶大也同他們站在那裏。
|
5 They answered611 him, Jesus2424 of Nazareth.3478 Jesus2424 said3004 to them, I am1510 he. And Judas2455 also,2532 which3588 betrayed3860 him, stood2476 with them.

|
6 耶穌一說「我就是」，他們就退後倒在地上。
|
6 As soon then3767 as he had said2036 to them, I am1510 he, they went565 backward,1519 3588 3694 and fell4098 to the ground.5476
|
|
7 他又問他們說：「你們找誰？」他們說：「找拿撒勒的［of Nazareth］耶穌。」
|
7 Then3767 asked1905 he them again,3825 Whom5101 seek2212 you? And they said,2036 Jesus2424 of Nazareth.3478
|
|
8 耶穌說：「我已經告訴你們，我就是。你們若找我，就讓這些人去吧。」
|
8 Jesus2424 answered,611 I have told2036 you that I am1510 he: if1487 therefore3767 you seek2212 me, let863 these5128 go5217 their way:
|
|
9 這要應驗耶穌從前的話，說：「你所賜給我的人，我沒有失落一個。」
|
9 That the saying3056 might be fulfilled,4137 which3739 he spoke,2036 Of them which3739 you gave1325 me have I lost622 none.3762
|
|
10 西門．彼得帶著一把刀，就拔出來，將大祭司的僕人襲了一把［smote］，削掉他的右耳；那僕人名叫馬勒古。
|
10 Then3767 Simon4613 Peter4074 having2192 a sword3162 drew1670 it, and smote3817 the high749 priest's749 servant,1401 and cut609 off609 his right1188 ear.5621 The servant's1401 name3686 was Malchus.3124
|
|
11 耶穌就對彼得說：「收刀入鞘吧，我父所給我的那杯，我豈可不喝呢？」
|
11 Then3767 said2036 Jesus2424 to Peter,4074 Put906 up your sword3162 into1519 the sheath:2336 the cup4221 which3739 my Father3962 has given1325 me, shall I not drink4095 it?
|
|
12 那隊兵和軍長［captain］，並猶太人的差役就拿住耶穌，把他捆綁了，
|
12 Then3767 the band4686 and the captain5506 and officers5257 of the Jews2453 took4815 Jesus,2424 and bound1210 him,
|
|
13 先帶到亞那面前，因為亞那是本年作大祭司該亞法的岳父。
|
13 And led520 him away520 to Annas452 first;4412 for he was father3995 in law3995 to Caiaphas,2533 which3739 was the high749 priest749 that same1565 year.1763
|
|
14 這該亞法就是從前向猶太人發議論，說「一個人替百姓死是有益的」那位。
|
14 Now1161 Caiaphas2533 was he, which3588 gave4823 counsel4823 to the Jews,2453 that it was expedient4851 that one1520 man444 should die622 for the people.2992
|
|
15 西門．彼得跟著耶穌，還有一個門徒跟著。那門徒是大祭司所認識的，他就同耶穌進了大祭司的院子。
|
15 And Simon4613 Peter4074 followed190 Jesus,2424 and so did another243 disciple:3101 that disciple3101 was known1110 to the high749 priest,749 and went4897 in with Jesus2424 into1519 the palace833 of the high749 priest.749
|
|
16 彼得卻站在門外。大祭司所認識的那個門徒出來，和看門的使女說了一聲，就領彼得進去。
|
16 But Peter4074 stood2476 at4314 the door2374 without.1854 Then3767 went1831 out that other243 disciple,3101 which3739 was known1110 to the high749 priest,749 and spoke2036 to her that kept2377 the door,2377 and brought1521 in Peter.4074
|
|
17 那看門的女子［damsel］對彼得說：「你不也是這人的門徒嗎？」他說：「我不是。」
|
17 Then3767 said3004 the damsel3814 that kept2377 the door2377 to Peter,4074 Are1488 not you also2532 one of this5127 man's444 disciples?3101 He said,3004 I am1510 not.

|
18 僕人和差役因為天冷，就生了炭火；他們就［and they］站在那裏烤火自暖［warmed themselves］。彼得也同他們站著烤火自暖［warmed himself］。
|
18 And the servants1401 and officers5257 stood2476 there, who had made4160 a fire of coals;439 for it was cold:5592 and they warmed2328 themselves: and Peter4074 stood2476 with them, and warmed2328 himself.

|
19 大祭司就以耶穌的門徒和他的道理［doctrine］盤問他。
|
19 The high749 priest749 then3767 asked2065 Jesus2424 of his disciples,3101 and of his doctrine.1322
|
|
20 耶穌回答說：「我從來是明明的對世人說話。我常在會堂和殿裏，就是猶太人常常［always］聚集的地方教訓人；我在暗地裏並沒有說甚麼。
|
20 Jesus2424 answered611 him, I spoke2980 openly3954 to the world;2889 I ever3842 taught1321 in the synagogue,4864 and in the temple,2411 where3699 the Jews2453 always3842 resort;4905 and in secret2927 have I said2980 nothing.3762

|
21 你為甚麼問我呢？可以問那聽見的人，我對他們說的是甚麼；看哪［behold］，我所說的，他們都知道。」
|
21 Why5101 ask1905 you me? ask1905 them which heard191 me, what5101 I have said2980 to them: behold,2396 they know1492 what5101 I said.2036
|
|
22 耶穌說了這話，旁邊站著的一個差役用手掌打他，說：「你這樣回答大祭司嗎？」
|
22 And when he had thus5023 spoken,2036 one1520 of the officers5257 which stood3936 by struck1325 4475 Jesus2424 with the palm4475 of his hand, saying,2036 Answer611 you the high749 priest749 so?3779
|
|
23 耶穌說：「我若說的不是，你可以指證那不是；我若說的是，你為甚麼打我呢？」
|
23 Jesus2424 answered611 him, If1487 I have spoken2980 evil,2560 bear3140 witness3140 of the evil:2556 but if1487 well,2573 why5101 smite1194 you me?
|
|
24 亞那就把耶穌送［sent］到大祭司該亞法那裏，仍是捆著［bound］去的。
|
24 Now3767 Annas452 had sent649 him bound1210 to Caiaphas2533 the high749 priest.749
|
|
25 西門．彼得站著烤火自暖［stood and warmed himself］。於是［therefore］他們［They］對他說：「你不也是他的門徒嗎？」彼得不承認這事［it］，說：「我不是。」
|
25 And Simon4613 Peter4074 stood2476 and warmed2328 himself. They said2036 therefore3767 to him, Are1488 not you also2532 one of his disciples?3101 He denied720 it, and said,2036 I am1510 not.
|
|
26 有大祭司的一個僕人，是彼得削掉耳朵那人的親屬，說：「我不是看見你同他在園子裏嗎？」
|
26 One1520 of the servants1401 of the high749 priest,749 being5607 his kinsman4773 whose3739 ear5621 Peter4074 cut609 off,609 said,3004 Did not I see1492 you in the garden2779 with him?
|
|
27 彼得又不承認；立時雞就叫了。
|
27 Peter4074 then3767 denied720 again:3825 and immediately2112 the cock220 crew.5455
|
|
28 眾人將耶穌從該亞法那裏往審判廳［judgment hall］內領［led］去，那時天還早。他們自己卻不進審判廳［judgment hall］，恐怕染了污穢，不能吃逾越節的筵席。
|
28 Then3767 led71 they Jesus2424 from Caiaphas2533 to the hall4232 of judgment:4232 and it was early;4405 and they themselves846 went1525 not into1519 the judgment4232 hall,4232 lest2443 3361 they should be defiled;3392 but that they might eat5315 the passover.3957

29 彼拉多就出來，到他們那裏，說：「你們告這人是為甚麼事呢？」
|
29 Pilate4091 then3767 went1831 out to them, and said,2036 What5101 accusation2724 bring5342 you against2596 this5127 man?444
|
|
30 他們回答他［him］說：「這人若不是作惡的，我們就不把他交給你。」
|
30 They answered611 and said2036 to him, If1487 he were not a malefactor,2555 we would not have delivered3860 him up to you.
|
|
31 彼拉多便［Then］對他們［unto them］說：「你們自己帶他去，按著你們的律法審問他吧。」猶太人就［therefore］對他［unto him］說：「我們沒有把人治死［put any men to death］的權柄。」
|
31 Then3767 said2036 Pilate4091 to them, Take2983 you him, and judge2919 him according2596 to your5216 law.3551 The Jews2453 therefore3767 said2036 to him, It is not lawful1832 for us to put615 any3762 man3762 to death:615

|
32 這要應驗耶穌所說自己將要怎樣死的話了。
|
32 That the saying3056 of Jesus2424 might be fulfilled,4137 which3739 he spoke,2036 signifying4591 what4169 death2288 he should3195 die.599
|
|
33 彼拉多又進了審判廳［judgment hall］，叫耶穌來，對他說：「你是猶太人的王嗎？」
|
33 Then3767 Pilate4091 entered1525 into1519 the judgment4232 hall4232 again,3825 and called5455 Jesus,2424 and said2036 to him, Are1488 you the King935 of the Jews?2453
|
|
34 耶穌回答說：「這話是你自己說的，還是別人論我對你說的呢？」
|
34 Jesus2424 answered611 him, Say3004 you this5124 thing of yourself,1438 or2228 did others243 tell2036 it you of me?
|
|
35 彼拉多說：「我豈是猶太人呢？你本國的人和祭司長把你交給我。你作了甚麼事呢？」
|
35 Pilate4091 answered,611 Am1510 I a Jew?2453 Your4674 own nation1484 and the chief749 priests749 have delivered3860 you to me: what5101 have you done?4160
|
|
36 耶穌回答說：「我的國不屬這世界；我的國若屬這世界，我的臣僕必要爭戰，使我不至於被交給猶太人；只是如今［now］我的國不屬這世界。」
|
36 Jesus2424 answered,611 My kingdom932 is not of this5127 world:2889 if1487 my kingdom932 were of this5127 world,2889 then would my servants5257 fight,75 that I should not be delivered3860 to the Jews:2453 but now3568 is my kingdom932 not from hence.1782

|
37 彼拉多就對他說：「這樣，你是王嗎？」耶穌回答說：「你說我是王。我為此而生，也為此來到世間，特為給真理作見證。凡屬真理的人就聽我的話。」
|
37 Pilate4091 therefore3767 said2036 to him, Are1488 you a king935 then?3766 Jesus2424 answered,611 You say3004 that I am1510 a king.935 To this5124 end was I born,1080 and for this5124 cause came2064 I into1519 the world,2889 that I should bear3140 witness3140 to the truth.225 Every3956 one that is of the truth225 hears191 my voice.5456

38 彼拉多說：「真理是甚麼呢？」說了這話，又出來到猶太人那裏，對他們說：「我查不出他有甚麼錯［fault］來。
|
38 Pilate4091 said3004 to him, What5101 is truth?225 And when he had said2036 this,5124 he went1831 out again3825 to the Jews,2453 and said3004 to them, I find2147 in him no3762 fault156 at all.
|
|
39 但你們有個規矩，在逾越節要我給你們釋放一個人；故此［therefore］，你們要我給你們釋放猶太人的王嗎？」
|
39 But you have2076 a custom,4914 that I should release630 to you one1520 at1722 the passover:3957 will1014 you therefore3767 that I release630 to you the King935 of the Jews?2453
|
|
40 他們又都［all］喊著說：「不要這人，要巴拉巴。」這巴拉巴是個強盜。
|
40 Then3767 cried2905 they all3956 again,3825 saying,3004 Not this5126 man, but Barabbas.912 Now1161 Barabbas912 was a robber.3027
