約伯記

第26章

1 約伯回答說：

2 無能的人蒙你何等的幫助？膀臂無力的人蒙你何等的拯救？

3 無智慧的人蒙你何等的指教？你向他多顯何等大的事？［how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is］

4 你向誰發出言語來？誰的靈從你而出？

5 死物自諸水以下、並其中所住的造成［Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof］。

6 在神面前，地獄［hell］顯露，滅亡也不得遮掩。

7 他［He］將北極鋪在空地［place］，將大地掛［hangeth］在虛空。

8 他［He］將水包在密雲中；雲卻不破裂。

9 他［He］遮蔽他的寶座，將雲鋪在其上。

10 他以界限繞住諸水［He hath compassed the waters with bounds］，直到白晝黑夜的盡頭［the day and night come to an end］。

11 天的柱子因他的斥責顫動［tremble］驚奇。

12 他以能力分開洋海［divideth the sea］，他藉知識打傷驕傲人［the proud］。

13 他［he］藉他的靈裝飾諸天［garnished the heavens］；他的手造出曲行的蛇［hath formed the crooked serpent］。

14 看哪，這不過是神作為［ways］的些微；他的事我們所聽見的是何等少［how little a portion is heard of him］呢？他大能的雷聲誰能明透呢？

Chapter 26

1 THEN Job answered and said,

2 Why do you try to help him who is powerless? Why do you try to save the arm that has no strength?

3 How have you counselled him who has no wisdom? And how have you expounded so many doctrines?

4 To whom have you uttered words? And whose soul has come forth from you?

5 Behold, the mighty men shall be slain, and they shall lie down quieter than still waters.

6 Sheol is naked before him, and destruction has no covering.

7 He stretches out the north from the empty place, and hangs the earth upon nothing.

8 He binds up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

9 He holds fast the covering of the firmament, and spreads his cloud upon it.

10 He has circled the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

11 The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

12 He rebukes the sea with his power, and by his wisdom he saves many.

13 By his spirit he manages the heavens; his hand slew the fleeing serpent.

14 Lo, these are merely parts of his ways; and what evil thing have we heard against him? And the greatness of his might who can understand?

1 約伯回答說：	1 THEN Job answered and said,
