第8章

1 羔羊揭開第七印的時候，天上寂靜約半小時［half an hour］。

2 我看見那站在神面前的七個天使，有七枝號賜給他們。

3 另有一個天使，拿著金香爐來，站在祭壇旁邊。有許多香賜給他，要和眾聖徒的祈禱一同獻在寶座前的金壇上。

4 那香的煙和眾聖徒的祈禱從天使的手中一同升到神面前。

5 天使拿著香爐，盛滿了壇上的火，倒在地裏頭［into］；然後［and］有聲音［voices］、雷轟［thunderings］、閃電、地震。

6 拿著七枝號的七個天使就預備要吹。

7 第一個天使吹號，就有雹子與混著血的火［hail and fire mingled with blood］丟在地上；樹［trees］的三分之一被燒了，一切的青草也被燒了。

8 第二個天使吹號，就有彷彿火燒著的大山扔在海中；海的三分之一變成血，

9 海中活著的［life］的造物［creatures］死了三分之一，船隻也壞了三分之一。

10 第三個天使吹號，就有燒著的大星，好像燈［lamp］從天上落下來，落在江河的三分之一和眾水的泉源上。

11 這星名叫「茵蔯」。眾水的三分之一變為茵蔯；因水變苦，就死了許多人。

12 第四個天使吹號，日頭的三分之一，月亮的三分之一、星辰的三分之一都被擊打，以致日月星的三分之一黑暗了，白晝的三分之一沒有光，黑夜也是這樣。

13 我又看見一個天使［angel］飛過［through］空中，並聽見牠大聲說：「禍哉。禍哉。住在地上的民有禍了。因為還有三個天使要吹那其餘的號了［Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound］。」

Chapter 8

1 AND when he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about the space of half an hour.

2 Then I saw the seven angels, who stood before God; and seven trumpets were given to them.

3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, and he had a golden censer; and abundant incense was given to him, that he might offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

4 And the smoke of the incense which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.

5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it upon the earth: and there were voices and thunderings and lightnings, and an earthquake.

6 And the seven angels, who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.

7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with water, and they were poured upon the earth: and a third part of the earth was burnt up and a third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

8 Then the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain aflame with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed.

10 And the third angel sounded, and there fell a star from heaven, burning as though it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters;

11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was eclipsed, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so that the third part of them was darkened, and the day was darkened for a third part of it, and the night likewise.

13 And I beheld, and heard an eagle having a tail red as it were blood, flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, by reason of the other sounds of the trumpets of the three angels which are yet to sound!

8 Then the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain aflame with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
