1 掃羅家與大闢家戰,曠日持久,大闢愈強,掃羅家愈弱。 |
2 大闢在希伯崙生子,長暗嫩乃耶斯烈地之女亞希暖所出。 |
3 次基利押,乃曾適拿八加密地之女亞庇該所出。三押沙龍乃基述王達買女馬迦所出。 |
4 四亞多尼雅乃哈及所出。五示法提亞乃亞庇達所出。 |
5 六以特念,乃大闢妻以客拉所出,此六子者俱生於希伯崙。 |
6 斯時也,掃羅之家與大闢戰鬪,押尼耳強助之。 |
7 初掃羅之妃哩斯巴乃愛雅之女也,益破設責押尼耳曰,我父嬪嬙,爾曷玷辱。 |
8 押尼耳怒曰,我不從猶大族,惟助爾。父掃羅家,及其戚屬友朋,不陷爾於大闢手,爾反視我若犬首,今日乃爲此女詰責我乎。 |
9 昔耶和華誓,移掃羅國祚,立大闢爲王,治以色列族與猶大族,自但及別是巴,今我亦將助之,否則,願上帝降罰與我。 |

11 益破設無辭以對,畏之故也。 |
12 押尼耳遣使,謂大闢曰,斯土屬誰乎。又曰,爾與我約我則助爾,使以色列族衆歸爾。 |
13 大闢曰,善,我與爾約,惟索一詞,爾歸我時,必攜掃羅女米甲至,否則毋許覿面。 |
14 大闢遣使,謂掃羅子益破設曰,昔我斷非利士人之皮一百,聘掃羅女米甲爲妻,今當反我。 |
15 益破設遣使者,詣米甲夫億子八氏所,取之。 |
16 夫隨其後而哭,至巴戶林。押尼耳曰,汝盍歸。乃歸。 |
17 押尼耳與以色列族長老相議,曰,昔爾求大闢爲王,治理爾衆。 |
18 今可立之,蓋耶和華嘗曰,我將使僕大闢拯我以色列族之民,脫於非利士人,及諸敵手。 |
19 押尼耳往說便雅憫人,旋至希伯崙以以色列族及便雅憫家所欲爲者,告大闢, |
20 押尼耳與從者二十人,入希伯崙覲大闢大闢賜宴, |
21 押尼耳謂大闢曰,我將往,集以色列族衆,歸於我主我王,與爾結約,使爾任意以治。大闢遣押尼耳安然以去,旣往之後,約押偕大闢臣僕,大獲貨財,自陳而歸。 |

23 約押與衆軍旅旣至,或告之曰,尼耳之子押尼耳入覲吾王,王遣之安歸。 |
24 約押見王曰,王果何爲。押尼耳至此,爾遣之去,曷故。 |
25 豈不知尼耳子押尼耳至此,乃欺爾也,欲窺伺爾出入,與凡所爲耳。 |
26 約押退,遣使追押尼耳,遇於西臘井傍,請復入邑,大闢不知。 |
27 押尼耳至希伯崙,約押佯欲私語,導至邑門側,刺其腹。致之於死,以報殺弟亞撒黑之仇。 |
28 大闢聞之曰,尼耳子押尼耳見殺,我與我民永無辜,耶和華爲證。 |
29 罪歸約押與其父家,願約押全家,或患白濁,或患癩疾,或扶杖而行,或殞沒於刃,或飲食匱乏,代有其人,相繼不絕。 |
30 約押及亞庇篩,殺押尼耳,因昔戰於基遍,曾戮其弟亞撒黑也。 |
31 大闢告約押與臣僕曰,當裂衣衣麻,爲押尼耳哭,王親送喪。 |
32 葬押尼耳於希伯崙,王大聲哭泣,於其墓側,民衆亦哭。 |
33 王爲押尼耳作悲歌曰,押尼耳之死,豈若罪犯哉。 |
34 爾手足無桎梏,猶人亡於匪類,爾之死亡,亦若是。民又爲之哭。 |
35 時未及夕,民至於前,請大闢食餅。大闢誓曰,如日未入,而我食餅,或食諸物,願上帝罰我。 |
36 民見此甚悅,王凡所爲,無不悅服。 |
37 當日以色列族衆咸知,殺尼耳子押尼耳者,非由於王。 |
38 王謂臣僕曰,今日在以色列族中,元戎陷於死亡,汝豈不知。 |
39 我雖受膏爲王,今猶荏弱,而西魯雅之二子,桀驁不馴,願耶和華惡人之罪戾,而報施焉。 |
2 SamuelChapter 3 |
1 NOW there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David; but David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul became weaker and impoverished. |
2 And sons were born to David in Hebron; and his first-born was Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; |
3 And his second, Caleb, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, Absalom, the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; |
4 And the fourth, Adonijah, the son of Haggith; and the fifth, Shephatiah, the son of Abital; |
5 And the sixth, Ithream, by David's wife Eglah. These were born to David in Hebron. |
6 And it came to pass, while there was war between the house of Saul and the house of David, Abner made himself strong for the house of Saul. |
7 And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Ana; and Ashbashul said to Abner, Why are you going in unto my father's concubine? |
8 Then Abner was exceedingly displeased at the words of Ashbashul, and Abner said, Am I the leader of vicious men in Judah? This day I show kindness to the house of Saul your father, to his brothers and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David, and yet you charge me today with this iniquity concerning a woman? |
9 So do God to Abner, and more also, if I do not perform what the LORD has spoken to David, even so will I do, |
10 To transfer the kingdom from the house of Saul and to establish the throne of David over Israel and over Judah from Dan to Beer-sheba. |
11 And Ashbashul could not reply to Abner, because he feared him. |
12 And Abner sent messengers to David, saying, Whose is the land? Now make your covenant with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with you, to bring all Israel to you. |
13 And David said, Well, I will make a covenant with you; but one thing I require of you, you shall not see my face, unless you first bring Malchel, Saul's daughter with you. |
14 Then David sent messengers to Ashbashul Saul's son, saying, Deliver to me my wife, Malchel, whom I espoused for two hundred foreskins of the Philistines. |
15 And Ashbashul sent, and took her from her husband, Palti, the son of Laish of Gallim. |
16 And her husband went along with her weeping as far as Beth-hurim. Then Abner said to him, Return. And he returned. |
17 And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying. You have sought for David in times past to be king over you; |
18 Now then do so; for the LORD has spoken of David, saying. By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel from the hand of the Philistines and out of the hand of all their enemies. |
19 And Abner also spoke in the presence of the Benjamites; and Abner went also to speak in the presence of David in Hebron. And when it seemed good in the sight of all Israel and in the sight of the whole house of Benjamin, |
20 Then Abner came to David at Hebron, and twenty men with him. And David made Abner and the men who were with him a great feast. |
21 And Abner said to David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel to my lord the king, that they may make a covenant with you and that you may reign over all that your soul desires. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace. |
22 And behold, the men of David and Joab came from a raid and brought a great spoil with them; but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he bad sent him away, and he was gone in peace. |
23 When Joab and all the people who were with him were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to King David, and he has sent him away and he has gone in peace. |
24 Then Joab came to King David, and said to him, What have you done? Behold, Abner came to you; why have you sent him away, and he is gone from you? |
25 Do you not know that Abner the son of Ner came to deceive you and to know your going out and your coming in and to know all that you are doing? |
26 And when Joab was come out from the presence of David, he sent messengers after Abner, and they brought him back from the well of Sirah; but David knew it not. |
27 And when Abner was returned to Hebron, Joab took him aside to a secret place within the gate to speak with him quietly, and he smote him there in his abdomen, and he died, for the blood of Ashael his brother. |
28 And afterward when David heard it, he said, I and my kingdom are guiltless before the LORD for ever from the blood of Abner the son of Ner; |
29 Let it rest on the head of Joab and on the head of all his father's house; and let there never fail to be in the house of Joab one who has a discharge or who is a leper or who is a beggar holding a bowl or who falls by the sword or who lacks bread. |
30 So Joab and Abishai his brother slew Abner because he had slain their brother Ashael at Gibeon in the battle. |
31 And David said to Joab and to all the people who were with him, Rend your clothes and gird yourselves with sackcloth and mourn for Abner. And King David himself and all the people followed the bier. |
32 And they buried Abner in Hebron; and the king lifted up his voice and wept at the grave of Abner; and all the people wept. |
33 And the king lamented over Abner and said, Abner died like Nabal. |
34 Your hands were not bound nor were your feet put into fetters; as one falls before the wicked men, so have you fallen. And all the people wept again over him. |
35 And all the people tried to persuade David to eat food while it was still day, but David swore, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread or anything else till the sun goes down. |
36 And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them; whatever the king did pleased all the people; |
37 For all the people and all Israel understood that day that the king had no hand in the slaying of Abner, the son of Ner. |
38 And the king said to the people, Do you not know that there is a great prince fallen this day in Israel? |
39 And I am this day troubled, and as king I see that the sons of Zoriah are too hard for me; the LORD shall reward the evil doer according to his wickedness. |

9 So do God to Abner, and more also, if I do not perform what the LORD has spoken to David, even so will I do, |

10 To transfer the kingdom from the house of Saul and to establish the throne of David over Israel and over Judah from Dan to Beer-sheba. |
11 益破設無辭以對,畏之故也。 |
11 And Ashbashul could not reply to Abner, because he feared him. |
12 押尼耳遣使,謂大闢曰,斯土屬誰乎。又曰,爾與我約我則助爾,使以色列族衆歸爾。 |
12 And Abner sent messengers to David, saying, Whose is the land? Now make your covenant with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with you, to bring all Israel to you. |
13 大闢曰,善,我與爾約,惟索一詞,爾歸我時,必攜掃羅女米甲至,否則毋許覿面。 |
13 And David said, Well, I will make a covenant with you; but one thing I require of you, you shall not see my face, unless you first bring Malchel, Saul's daughter with you. |
14 大闢遣使,謂掃羅子益破設曰,昔我斷非利士人之皮一百,聘掃羅女米甲爲妻,今當反我。 |
14 Then David sent messengers to Ashbashul Saul's son, saying, Deliver to me my wife, Malchel, whom I espoused for two hundred foreskins of the Philistines. |
15 益破設遣使者,詣米甲夫億子八氏所,取之。 |
15 And Ashbashul sent, and took her from her husband, Palti, the son of Laish of Gallim. |
16 夫隨其後而哭,至巴戶林。押尼耳曰,汝盍歸。乃歸。 |
16 And her husband went along with her weeping as far as Beth-hurim. Then Abner said to him, Return. And he returned. |
17 押尼耳與以色列族長老相議,曰,昔爾求大闢爲王,治理爾衆。 |
17 And Abner had communication with the elders of Israel, saying. You have sought for David in times past to be king over you; |
18 今可立之,蓋耶和華嘗曰,我將使僕大闢拯我以色列族之民,脫於非利士人,及諸敵手。 |
18 Now then do so; for the LORD has spoken of David, saying. By the hand of my servant David I will save my people Israel from the hand of the Philistines and out of the hand of all their enemies. |
19 押尼耳往說便雅憫人,旋至希伯崙以以色列族及便雅憫家所欲爲者,告大闢, |
19 And Abner also spoke in the presence of the Benjamites; and Abner went also to speak in the presence of David in Hebron. And when it seemed good in the sight of all Israel and in the sight of the whole house of Benjamin, |
20 押尼耳與從者二十人,入希伯崙覲大闢大闢賜宴, |
20 Then Abner came to David at Hebron, and twenty men with him. And David made Abner and the men who were with him a great feast. |
21 押尼耳謂大闢曰,我將往,集以色列族衆,歸於我主我王,與爾結約,使爾任意以治。大闢遣押尼耳安然以去,旣往之後,約押偕大闢臣僕,大獲貨財,自陳而歸。 |
21 And Abner said to David, I will arise and go, and will gather all Israel to my lord the king, that they may make a covenant with you and that you may reign over all that your soul desires. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace. |

22 And behold, the men of David and Joab came from a raid and brought a great spoil with them; but Abner was not with David in Hebron; for he bad sent him away, and he was gone in peace. |
23 約押與衆軍旅旣至,或告之曰,尼耳之子押尼耳入覲吾王,王遣之安歸。 |
23 When Joab and all the people who were with him were come, they told Joab, saying, Abner the son of Ner came to King David, and he has sent him away and he has gone in peace. |
24 約押見王曰,王果何爲。押尼耳至此,爾遣之去,曷故。 |
24 Then Joab came to King David, and said to him, What have you done? Behold, Abner came to you; why have you sent him away, and he is gone from you? |
25 豈不知尼耳子押尼耳至此,乃欺爾也,欲窺伺爾出入,與凡所爲耳。 |
25 Do you not know that Abner the son of Ner came to deceive you and to know your going out and your coming in and to know all that you are doing? |

36 And all the people took notice of it, and it pleased them; whatever the king did pleased all the people; |
37 當日以色列族衆咸知,殺尼耳子押尼耳者,非由於王。 |
37 For all the people and all Israel understood that day that the king had no hand in the slaying of Abner, the son of Ner. |
38 王謂臣僕曰,今日在以色列族中,元戎陷於死亡,汝豈不知。 |
38 And the king said to the people, Do you not know that there is a great prince fallen this day in Israel? |
39 我雖受膏爲王,今猶荏弱,而西魯雅之二子,桀驁不馴,願耶和華惡人之罪戾,而報施焉。 |
39 And I am this day troubled, and as king I see that the sons of Zoriah are too hard for me; the LORD shall reward the evil doer according to his wickedness. |
