出埃及記

第5章

1 厥後摩西亞倫入告法老曰、以色列之上帝耶和華云、當釋我民、往野守節。

2 法老曰、誰爲耶和華、使我惟命是聽、而釋以色列族乎。我不識耶和華、曷肯釋以色列族。

3 曰、希伯來族之上帝、降臨於我、請許我適野、歷程三日、以祭我上帝耶和華、恐疾疫鋒刃災及我身。

4 王曰。摩西亞倫奚爲阻民操作、爾往、仍爲負戴。

5 又曰、此族衆多、爾使之不負戴曷故。〇

6 是時法老諭督役者、與族長曰、

7 厥後此族陶瓦、毋仍給蒭、使往自斂。

8 所陶之瓦、其數仍如疇昔、毋容少減。彼憚服役、故號呼曰、容我往祭我之上帝。

9 當倍其工、使之操作、無胥動以浮言。

10 督役者與族長出、告以色列族曰、法老命不給爾蒭。

11 爾往隨在斂之、工毋少減。

12 以色族散往、遍於埃及、斂草芥以代蒭。

13 督役者促之曰、當日竣其工、與昔有蒭無異。

14 法老所委之督、撻以色列族長、曰、爾所陶瓦、昔有其數、今不能竣、曷故。〇

15 以色列族長龥法老曰、曷待僕若是。

16 不給僕以蒭、而使陶瓦、僕又被撻、咎歸王臣。

17 曰、爾怠矣、爾怠矣、故云、容我往祭耶和華。

18 爾往操作、不給爾蒭、所陶之瓦、其數當竣。

19 以色列族長聞日所陶瓦、數毋容減、則知害及乎己。

20 以色列族長覲法老而出、見摩西亞倫竚立於途、告之曰、

21 爾使法老及羣臣、無不惡我、授刃殺我、願耶和華鑒察、而伸我寃。〇

22 摩西返、禱耶和華曰、主歟、何爲遣我、以害此族。

23 我遵爾命、入告法老、及至今日、彼荼毒此族益甚、而爾未嘗拯之。

Chapter 5

1 And afterward310 Moses4872 and Aaron175 went935 in, and told559 Pharaoh,6547 Thus3541 said559 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel,3478 Let my people5971 go,7971 that they may hold a feast2287 to me in the wilderness.4057

2 And Pharaoh6547 said,559 Who4310 is the LORD,3068 that I should obey8085 his voice6963 to let Israel3478 go?7971 I know3045 not the LORD,3068 neither1571 3808 will I let Israel3478 go.7971

3 And they said,559 The God430 of the Hebrews5680 has met7122 with us: let us go,3212 we pray4994 you, three7969 days' 3117journey1870 into the desert,4057 and sacrifice2076 to the LORD3068 our God;430 lest6435 he fall6293 on us with pestilence,1698 or176 with the sword.2719

4 And the king4428 of Egypt4714 said559 to them, Why4100 do you, Moses4872 and Aaron,175 let6544 the people5971 from their works?4639 get3212 you to your burdens.5450

5 And Pharaoh6547 said,559 Behold,2005 the people5971 of the land776 now6258 are many,7227 and you make them rest7673 from their burdens.5450

6 And Pharaoh6547 commanded6680 the same1931 day3117 the taskmasters5065 of the people,5971 and their officers,7860 saying,559

7 You shall no3808 more3254 give5414 the people5971 straw8401 to make brick,3835 as heretofore:8543 let them go3212 and gather7197 straw8401 for themselves.1992

8 And the tale4971 of the bricks,3843 which834 they did make6213 heretofore,8543 you shall lay7760 on them; you shall not diminish1639 ought thereof: for they be idle;7504 therefore5921 3651 they cry,6817 saying,559 Let us go3212 and sacrifice2076 to our God.430

9 Let there more work5656 be laid3515 on the men,582 that they may labor6213 therein; and let them not regard8159 vain8267 words.1697

10 And the taskmasters5065 of the people5971 went3318 out, and their officers,7860 and they spoke559 to the people,5971 saying,559 Thus3541 said559 Pharaoh,6547 I will not give5414 you straw.8401

11 Go3212 you, get3947 you straw8401 where834 you can find4672 it: yet3588 not ought1697 of your work5656 shall be diminished.1639

12 So the people5971 were scattered6327 abroad6527 throughout all3605 the land776 of Egypt4714 to gather7197 stubble7179 instead of straw.8401

13 And the taskmasters5065 hurried213 them, saying,559 Fulfill3615 your works,4639 your daily3117 tasks,1697 as when834 there was straw.8401

14 And the officers7860 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 which834 Pharaoh's6547 taskmasters5065 had set7760 over5921 them, were beaten,5221 and demanded,559 Why4069 have you not fulfilled3615 your task2706 in making brick3835 both1571 yesterday8543 and to day,3117 as heretofore?8543

15 Then the officers7860 of the children1121 of Israel3478 came935 and cried6817 to Pharaoh,6547 saying,559 Why4100 deal6213 you thus3541 with your servants?5650

16 There is no369 straw8401 given5414 to your servants,5650 and they say559 to us, Make6213 brick:3843 and, behold,2009 your servants5650 are beaten;5221 but the fault2398 is in your own people.5971

17 But he said,559 You are idle,7503 you are idle:7503 therefore5921 3651 you say,559 Let us go3212 and do sacrifice2076 to the LORD.3068

18 Go3212 therefore now,6258 and work;5647 for there shall no3808 straw8401 be given5414 you, yet shall you deliver5414 the tale8506 of bricks.3843

19 And the officers7860 of the children1121 of Israel3478 did see7200 that they were in evil7451 case, after it was said,559 You shall not minish1639 ought from your bricks3843 of your daily3117 task.1697

20 And they met6293 Moses4872 and Aaron,175 who stood5324 in the way,7125 as they came3318 forth3318 from Pharaoh:6547

21 And they said559 to them, The LORD3068 look7200 on you, and judge;8199 because834 you have made our smell7381 to be abhorred887 in the eyes5869 of Pharaoh,6547 and in the eyes5869 of his servants,5650 to put5414 a sword2719 in their hand3027 to slay2026 us.

22 And Moses4872 returned7725 to the LORD,3068 and said,559 LORD,136 why4100 have you so evil7489 entreated this2088 people?5971 why4100 is it that you have sent7971 me?

23 For since4480 I came935 to Pharaoh6547 to speak1696 in your name,8034 he has done evil7489 to this2088 people;5971 neither3808 have you delivered5337 your people5971 at all.3605

2 法老曰、誰爲耶和華、使我惟命是聽、而釋以色列族乎。我不識耶和華、曷肯釋以色列族。

2 And Pharaoh6547 said,559 Who4310 is the LORD,3068 that I should obey8085 his voice6963 to let Israel3478 go?7971 I know3045 not the LORD,3068 neither1571 3808 will I let Israel3478 go.7971

3 曰、希伯來族之上帝、降臨於我、請許我適野、歷程三日、以祭我上帝耶和華、恐疾疫鋒刃災及我身。

3 And they said,559 The God430 of the Hebrews5680 has met7122 with us: let us go,3212 we pray4994 you, three7969 days' 3117journey1870 into the desert,4057 and sacrifice2076 to the LORD3068 our God;430 lest6435 he fall6293 on us with pestilence,1698 or176 with the sword.2719

4 王曰。摩西亞倫奚爲阻民操作、爾往、仍爲負戴。

4 And the king4428 of Egypt4714 said559 to them, Why4100 do you, Moses4872 and Aaron,175 let6544 the people5971 from their works?4639 get3212 you to your burdens.5450

5 又曰、此族衆多、爾使之不負戴曷故。〇

6 是時法老諭督役者、與族長曰、

8 And the tale4971 of the bricks,3843 which834 they did make6213 heretofore,8543 you shall lay7760 on them; you shall not diminish1639 ought thereof: for they be idle;7504 therefore5921 3651 they cry,6817 saying,559 Let us go3212 and sacrifice2076 to our God.430

9 當倍其工、使之操作、無胥動以浮言。

9 Let there more work5656 be laid3515 on the men,582 that they may labor6213 therein; and let them not regard8159 vain8267 words.1697

10 督役者與族長出、告以色列族曰、法老命不給爾蒭。

10 And the taskmasters5065 of the people5971 went3318 out, and their officers,7860 and they spoke559 to the people,5971 saying,559 Thus3541 said559 Pharaoh,6547 I will not give5414 you straw.8401

11 爾往隨在斂之、工毋少減。

11 Go3212 you, get3947 you straw8401 where834 you can find4672 it: yet3588 not ought1697 of your work5656 shall be diminished.1639

12 以色族散往、遍於埃及、斂草芥以代蒭。

12 So the people5971 were scattered6327 abroad6527 throughout all3605 the land776 of Egypt4714 to gather7197 stubble7179 instead of straw.8401

13 督役者促之曰、當日竣其工、與昔有蒭無異。

13 And the taskmasters5065 hurried213 them, saying,559 Fulfill3615 your works,4639 your daily3117 tasks,1697 as when834 there was straw.8401

14 法老所委之督、撻以色列族長、曰、爾所陶瓦、昔有其數、今不能竣、曷故。〇

14 And the officers7860 of the children1121 of Israel,3478 which834 Pharaoh's6547 taskmasters5065 had set7760 over5921 them, were beaten,5221 and demanded,559 Why4069 have you not fulfilled3615 your task2706 in making brick3835 both1571 yesterday8543 and to day,3117 as heretofore?8543

15 以色列族長龥法老曰、曷待僕若是。

15 Then the officers7860 of the children1121 of Israel3478 came935 and cried6817 to Pharaoh,6547 saying,559 Why4100 deal6213 you thus3541 with your servants?5650

16 不給僕以蒭、而使陶瓦、僕又被撻、咎歸王臣。

16 There is no369 straw8401 given5414 to your servants,5650 and they say559 to us, Make6213 brick:3843 and, behold,2009 your servants5650 are beaten;5221 but the fault2398 is in your own people.5971

17 曰、爾怠矣、爾怠矣、故云、容我往祭耶和華。

18 爾往操作、不給爾蒭、所陶之瓦、其數當竣。

19 以色列族長聞日所陶瓦、數毋容減、則知害及乎己。

19 And the officers7860 of the children1121 of Israel3478 did see7200 that they were in evil7451 case, after it was said,559 You shall not minish1639 ought from your bricks3843 of your daily3117 task.1697

20 以色列族長覲法老而出、見摩西亞倫竚立於途、告之曰、

20 And they met6293 Moses4872 and Aaron,175 who stood5324 in the way,7125 as they came3318 forth3318 from Pharaoh:6547

21 爾使法老及羣臣、無不惡我、授刃殺我、願耶和華鑒察、而伸我寃。〇

21 And they said559 to them, The LORD3068 look7200 on you, and judge;8199 because834 you have made our smell7381 to be abhorred887 in the eyes5869 of Pharaoh,6547 and in the eyes5869 of his servants,5650 to put5414 a sword2719 in their hand3027 to slay2026 us.

22 摩西返、禱耶和華曰、主歟、何爲遣我、以害此族。

22 And Moses4872 returned7725 to the LORD,3068 and said,559 LORD,136 why4100 have you so evil7489 entreated this2088 people?5971 why4100 is it that you have sent7971 me?

23 我遵爾命、入告法老、及至今日、彼荼毒此族益甚、而爾未嘗拯之。

23 For since4480 I came935 to Pharaoh6547 to speak1696 in your name,8034 he has done evil7489 to this2088 people;5971 neither3808 have you delivered5337 your people5971 at all.3605
