我們不要攻擊神了[let us not fight against God]。」

23 [he]便叫了兩個百夫長來,說:「預備步兵二百,馬兵七十,長槍手二百,今夜亥初往凱撒利亞去;

25 [he]又寫了文書,大略說:[after this manner:]

6 But1161 when Paul3972 perceived1097 that3754 the3588 one1520 part3313 were2076 Sadducees,4523 and1161 the3588 other2087 Pharisees,5330 he cried out2896 in1722 the3588 council,4892 Men435 and brethren,80 I1473 am1510 a Pharisee,5330 the son5207 of a Pharisee:5330 of4012 the hope1680 and2532 resurrection386 of the dead3498 I1473 am called in question.2919

7 And1161 when he846 had so5124 said,2980 there arose1096 a dissension4714 between the3588 Pharisees5330 and2532 the3588 Sadducees:4523 and2532 the3588 multitude4128 was divided.4977

8 For1063 the3303 Sadducees4523 say3004 that there is1511 no3361 resurrection,386 neither3366 angel,32 nor3383 spirit:4151 but1161 the Pharisees5330 confess3670 both.297

9 And1161 there arose1096 a great3173 cry:2906 and2532 the3588 scribes1122 that were of the3588 Pharisees'5330 part3313 arose,450 and strove,1264 saying,3004 We find2147 no3762 evil2556 in1722 this5129 man:444 but1161 if1487 a spirit4151 or2228 an angel32 hath spoken2980 to him,846 let us not3361 fight against God.2313

10 And1161 when there arose1096 a great4183 dissension,4714 the3588 chief captain,5506 fearing2125 lest3361 Paul3972 should have been pulled in pieces1288 of5259 them,846 commanded2753 the3588 soldiers4753 to go down,2597 and to take him by force726 846 from1537 among3319 them,848 and5037 to bring71 him into1519 the3588 castle.3925

11 And1161 the3588 night3571 following1966 the3588 Lord2962 stood by2186 him,846 and said,2036 Be of good cheer,2293 Paul: 3972 for1063 as5613 thou hast testified1263 of4012 me1700 in1722 Jerusalem,2419 so3779 must1163 thou4571 bear witness3140 also2532 at1519 Rome.4516

12 And1161 when it was1096 day,2250 certain5100 of the3588 Jews2453 banded together,4160 4963 and bound themselves under a curse,332 1438 saying3004 that they would neither3383 eat5315 nor3383 drink4095 till2193 3757 they had killed615 Paul.3972

13 And1161 they were2258 more4119 than forty5062 which had made4160 this5026 conspiracy.4945

14 And they3748 came4334 to the3588 chief priests749 and2532 elders,4245 and said,2036 We have bound ourselves under a great curse,332 1438 331 that we will eat1089 nothing3367 until2193 3757 we have slain615 Paul.3972

15 Now3568 therefore3767 ye5210 with4862 the3588 council4892 signify1718 to the3588 chief captain5506 that3704 he bring him down2609 846 unto4314 you5209 tomorrow,839 as though5613 ye would3195 inquire1231 something more perfectly197 concerning4012 him:846 and1161 we,2249 or ever4253 he846 come near,1448 are2070 ready2092 to kill337 him.846

16 And1161 when Paul's3972 sister's79 son5207 heard191 of their lying in wait,1749 he went3854 and2532 entered1525 into1519 the3588 castle,3925 and told518 Paul.3972

17 Then1161 Paul3972 called one of the centurions unto4341 1520 3588 1543 him, and said,5346 Bring520 this5126 young man3494 unto4314 the3588 chief captain:5506 for1063 he hath2192 a certain thing5100 to tell518 him.846

18 So3767 he3588 3303 took3880 him,846 and brought71 him to4314 the3588 chief captain,5506 and2532 said,5346 Paul3972 the3588 prisoner1198 called me unto4341 3165 him, and prayed2065 me to bring71 this5126 young man3494 unto4314 thee,4571 who hath2192 something5100 to say2980 unto thee.4671

19 Then1161 the3588 chief captain5506 took1949 him848 by the3588 hand,5495 and2532 went with him aside402 privately,2596 2398 and asked4441 him, What5101 is2076 that3739 thou hast2192 to tell518 me?3427

20 And1161 he said,2036 The3588 Jews2453 have agreed4934 to desire2065 thee4571 that3704 thou wouldest bring down2609 Paul3972 tomorrow839 into1519 the3588 council,4892 as though5613 they would3195 inquire4441 somewhat5100 of4012 him846 more perfectly.197

21 But3767 do not3361 thou4771 yield3982 unto them:846 for1063 there lie in wait1748 for him846 of1537 them846 more4119 than forty5062 men,435 which3748 have bound themselves with an oath,332 1438 that they will neither3383 eat5315 nor3383 drink4095 till2193 3757 they have killed337 him:846 and2532 now3568 are1526 they ready,2092 looking for4327 a promise1860 from575 thee.4675

22 So3767 the3588 chief captain5506 then3303 let the young man depart,630 3588 3494 and charged3853 him, See thou tell1583 no man3367 that3754 thou hast showed1718 these things5023 to4314 me.3165

23 And2532 he called unto4341 him two1417 centurions,1543 saying,2036 Make ready2090 two hundred1250 soldiers4757 to3704 go4198 to2193 Caesarea,2542 and2532 horsemen2460 threescore and ten,1440 and2532 spearmen1187 two hundred,1250 at575 the third5154 hour5610 of the3588 night;3571

24 And5037 provide3936 them beasts,2934 that2443 they may set Paul on,1913 3972 and bring him safe1295 unto4314 Felix5344 the3588 governor.2232

25 And he wrote1125 a letter1992 after4023 this5126 manner: 5179

26 Claudius2804 Lysias3079 unto the3588 most excellent2903 governor2232 Felix5344 sendeth greeting.5463

27 This5126 man435 was taken4815 of5259 the3588 Jews,2453 and2532 should3195 have been killed337 of5259 them:846 then came2186 I with4862 an army,4753 and rescued1807 him,846 having understood3129 that3754 he was2076 a Roman.4514

28 And1161 when I would1014 have known1097 the3588 cause156 wherefore1223 3739 they accused1458 him,846 I brought him forth2609 846 into1519 their848 council: 4892

29 Whom3739 I perceived2147 to be accused1458 of4012 questions2213 of their848 law,3551 but1161 to have2192 nothing3367 laid to his charge1462 worthy514 of death2288 or2228 of bonds.1199

30 And1161 when it was told3377 me3427 how that5259 the3588 Jews2453 laid wait1917 3195 1510 for1519 the3588 man,435 I sent3992 straightway1824 to4314 thee,4571 and gave commandment3853 to his accusers2725 also2532 to say3004 before1909 thee4675 what3588 they had against4314 him.846 Farewell.4517

31 Then3767 3303 the3588 soldiers,4757 as2596 it was commanded1299 them,846 took353 Paul,3972 and brought71 him by1223 night3571 to1519 Antipatris.494

32 On1161 the3588 morrow1887 they left1439 the3588 horsemen2460 to go4198 with4862 him,846 and returned5290 to1519 the3588 castle: 3925

33 Who,3748 when they came1525 to1519 Caesarea,2542 and2532 delivered325 the3588 epistle1992 to the3588 governor,2232 presented3936 Paul3972 also2532 before him.846

34 And1161 when the3588 governor2232 had read314 the letter, he2532 asked1905 of1537 what4169 province1885 he was.2076 And2532 when he understood4441 that3754 he was of575 Cilicia;2791

35 I will hear1251 thee,4675 said5346 he, when3752 thine4675 accusers2725 are also2532 come.3854 And5037 he commanded2753 him846 to be kept5442 in1722 Herod's2264 judgment hall.4232

23 [he]便叫了兩個百夫長來,說:「預備步兵二百,馬兵七十,長槍手二百,今夜亥初往凱撒利亞去;

25 [he]又寫了文書,大略說:[after this manner:]
