帖撒羅尼迦後書

第3章

1 最後［Finally］，弟兄們［brethren］，請你們為我們禱告，好叫主的道理自由傳開［free course］，得著榮耀，正如在你們中間一樣。

2 也叫我們脫離無理之惡人的手，因為人不都是信實的［faith］。

3 但主是信實的，要堅固你們，保護你們脫離兇惡［evil］。

4 我們靠主深信，你們現在是遵行我們所吩咐的，後來也必要遵行。

5 願主引導你們的心，叫你們愛神並忍耐等候基督［patient waiting for Christ］。

6 弟兄們，如今［Now］我們奉我們［our］主耶穌基督的名吩咐你們，凡有兄弟［brother］不按規矩而行，不遵守從我們所受的遺傳［tradition］，就當遠離他。

7 你們自己原知道應當怎樣效法我們。因為我們在你們中間，未嘗不按規矩而行，

8 也未嘗白吃人的餅［bread］，倒是辛苦勞碌，晝夜作工，免得叫你們一人耗費［chargeable］。

9 這並不是因我們沒有權柄，乃是要給你們作榜樣，叫你們效法我們。

10 我們在你們那裏的時候，曾吩咐你們說，若有人不肯作工，就不可用餐［eat］。

11 因我們聽說，在你們中間有人不按規矩而行，甚麼工都不作，反倒專管閒事。

12 我們靠我們的［our］主耶穌基督吩咐、勸戒這樣的人，要安靜作工，吃自己的餅［bread］。

13 弟兄們，你們行善不可困倦［weary］。

14 若有人不聽從我們這信上的話，要記下他，不和他交往，叫他自覺羞愧。

15 但不要以他為仇人，要勸他如兄弟［brother］。

16 如今［Now］賜平安的主必［by all means］親自給你們平安。主必［The Lord be］常與你們眾人同在。

17 我保羅親筆問你們安。凡我的信都以此為記，我的筆跡就是這樣。

18 願我們主耶穌基督的恩，常與你們眾人同在。阿們［Amen］。

2 Thessalonians

Chapter 3

1 FINALLY, brethren, pray for us, that the word of our LORD may spread freely, and be glorified in every place even as it is among you:

2 And that we may be delivered from evil and unreasonable men: for not every man has faith.

3 But the LORD is faithful; he will guide you and deliver you from evil.

4 We have confidence in you through our LORD, that the things we have commanded you to do, you have done and will continue to do.

5 And may our LORD direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patience of Christ.

6 Now we command you, my brethren, in the name of our LORD Jesus Christ, to shun every brother who leads an evil life, and not in accord with the commandments which he received from us.

7 For you know well how you ought to imitate us; for our behaviour was not disorderly among you;

8 Neither did we eat bread for nothing from any of you, but worked with hard labor and toiled night and day so that we might not be a burden to any of you:

9 Not because we did not have the right, but to make ourselves an example to you to follow us.

10 For even when we were with you, we commanded this very thing to you, that whoever is unwilling to work should likewise not eat.

11 For we hear that there are some men among you who lead an evil life, and do not work at all, but are busybodies.

12 Now it is these people that we command and exhort by our LORD Jesus Christ, that they work quietly and eat their own bread.

13 But you, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

14 And if any man does not obey our word in this epistle, note that man, and do not associate with him, that he may be ashamed.

15 Yet do not consider him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

16 Now the LORD of peace himself give you peace always in every thing you do. Our LORD be with you all.

17 This salutation is in my own handwriting; I, Paul, wrote it, and it is the seal of all my epistles. This is the way I write.

18 The grace of our LORD Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
