1 逾越節以前，耶穌知道自己離開這世界［depart out of this world］、歸父的時候到了。他既然愛世間屬自己的人，就愛他們到底。
|

2 吃過晚餐［supper being ended］的時候，魔鬼已將賣耶穌的意思放在西門的兒子加略人猶大心裏。
|
2 And2532 supper1173 being ended,1096 the3588 devil1228 having now2235 put906 into1519 the3588 heart2588 of Judas2455 Iscariot,2469 Simon's4613 son, to2443 betray3860 him;846
|
|
3 耶穌知道父已將一切［all things］交在他手裏，且知道自己是從神出來的，又要歸到神那裏去，
|
3 Jesus2424 knowing1492 that3754 the3588 Father3962 had given1325 all things3956 into1519 his846 hands,5495 and2532 that3754 he was come1831 from575 God,2316 and2532 went5217 to4314 God;2316

|
4 他［He］離席站起來，脫了衣服；拿一條手巾束腰。
|
4 He riseth1453 from1537 supper,1173 and2532 laid aside5087 his garments;2440 and2532 took2983 a towel,3012 and girded1241 himself.1438
|
|
5 隨後耶穌［he］把水倒在盆裏，就洗門徒的腳，並用自己所束的手巾擦乾。
|
5 After that1534 he poureth906 water5204 into1519 a basin,3537 and2532 began756 to wash3538 the3588 disciples'3101 feet,4228 and2532 to wipe1591 them with the3588 towel3012 wherewith3739 he was2258 girded.1241

|
6 挨到西門．彼得，彼得對他說：「主啊，你洗我的腳嗎？」
|
6 Then3767 cometh2064 he to4314 Simon4613 Peter:4074 and2532 Peter1565 saith3004 unto him,846 Lord,2962 dost thou4771 wash3538 my3450 feet?4228
|
|
7 耶穌回答說：「我所作的，你如今不知道，後來你必知道［thou shalt know］。」
|
7 Jesus2424 answered611 and2532 said2036 unto him,846 What3739 I1473 do4160 thou4771 knowest1492 not3756 now;737 but1161 thou shalt know1097 hereafter.3326 5023

|
8 彼得說：「你永不可洗我的腳。」耶穌說：「我若不洗你，你就與我無分了。」
|

9 西門．彼得對他［unto him］說：「主啊，不但我的腳，連我的［my］手和頭也要洗。」
|
9 Simon4613 Peter4074 saith3004 unto him,846 Lord,2962 not3361 my3450 feet4228 only,3440 but235 also2532 my hands5495 and2532 my head.2776

|
10 耶穌說：「凡洗過澡的人，只要把腳一洗，全身就乾淨了。你們是乾淨的，然而不都是乾淨的。」
|
10 Jesus2424 saith3004 to him,846 He that is washed3068 needeth2192 5532 not3756 save2228 to wash3538 his feet,4228 but235 is2076 clean2513 every whit: 3650 and2532 ye5210 are2075 clean,2513 but235 not3780 all.3956

11 耶穌原知道要賣他的是誰，所以說：「你們不都是乾淨的。」
|
11 For1063 he knew1492 who should betray3860 him;846 therefore1223 5124 said2036 he, Ye are2075 not3780 all3956 clean.2513
|
|
12 耶穌洗完了他們的腳，就穿上衣服，又坐下，對他們說：「我向你們所作的，你們明白嗎？
|
12 So3767 after3753 he had washed3538 their846 feet,4228 and2532 had taken2983 his848 garments,2440 and was set down377 again,3825 he said2036 unto them,846 Know1097 ye what5101 I have done4160 to you?5213

|
13 你們稱呼我夫子，稱呼我主，你們說的不錯，我本來是。
|
13 Ye5210 call5455 me3165 Master1320 and2532 Lord: 2962 and2532 ye say3004 well;2573 for1063 so I am.1510
|
|
14 我是你們的主，你們的夫子，尚且洗你們的腳，你們也當彼此洗腳。
|
14 If1487 I1473 then,3767 your Lord2962 and2532 Master,1320 have washed3538 your5216 feet;4228 ye5210 also2532 ought3784 to wash3538 one another's240 feet.4228
|
|
15 我給你們作了榜樣，叫你們照著我向你們所作的去作。
|
15 For1063 I have given1325 you5213 an example,5262 that2443 ye5210 should2532 do4160 as2531 I1473 have done4160 to you.5213
|
|
16 我實實在在的告訴你們，僕人不能大於主人，被差的人［he that is sent］也不能大於差他的人。
|
16 Verily,281 verily,281 I say3004 unto you,5213 The servant1401 is2076 not3756 greater3187 than his848 lord;2962 neither3761 he that is sent652 greater3187 than he that sent3992 him.846
|
|
17 你們既知道這些事［these things］，若是去行就有福了。
|
17 If1487 ye know1492 these things,5023 happy3107 are2075 ye if1437 ye do4160 them.846
|
|
18 我這話不是指著你們眾人說的，我知道我所揀選的是誰。現在要應驗聖經［scripture］上的話，說：『同我吃餅［eateth bread］的人用腳踢我。』
|

19 如今事情還沒有成就，我要先告訴你們，叫你們到事情成就的時候可以信我乃是他［I am he］。
|

|
20 我實實在在的告訴你們，有人接待我所差遣的，就是接待我；接待我，就是接待那差遣我的。」
|
20 Verily,281 verily,281 I say3004 unto you,5213 He that receiveth2983 whomsoever5100 1437 I send3992 receiveth2983 me;1691 and1161 he that receiveth2983 me1691 receiveth2983 him that sent3992 me.3165

|
21 耶穌說了這話，靈［spirit］裏憂愁，就明說：「我實實在在的告訴你們，你們中間有一個人要賣我了。」
|
21 When Jesus2424 had thus5023 said,2036 he was troubled5015 in spirit,4151 and2532 testified,3140 and2532 said,2036 Verily,281 verily,281 I say3004 unto you,5213 that3754 one1520 of1537 you5216 shall betray3860 me.3165

22 門徒彼此對看，猜不透所說的是誰。
|
22 Then3767 the3588 disciples3101 looked991 one on another,240 1519 doubting639 of4012 whom5101 he spake.3004
|
|
23 有一個門徒，是耶穌所愛的，側身挨近耶穌的懷裏。
|
23 Now1161 there was2258 leaning345 on1722 Jesus'2424 bosom2859 one1520 of1537 his846 disciples,3101 whom3739 Jesus2424 loved.25
|
|
24 西門．彼得就對他點頭示意［therefore beckoned to him］，叫他問［that he should ask］主是指著誰說的。
|
24 Simon4613 Peter4074 therefore3767 beckoned3506 to him,5129 that he should ask4441 who5101 it should be1498 302 of4012 whom3739 he spake.3004
|
|
25 那門徒便就勢靠著耶穌的胸膛，對［saith unto］他說：「主啊，是誰呢？」
|
25 He1565 then1161 lying1968 on1909 Jesus'2424 breast4738 saith3004 unto him,846 Lord,2962 who5101 is2076 it?
|
|
26 耶穌回答說：「我蘸一點餅給誰，就是誰。」耶穌就蘸了一點餅，遞給加略人西門的兒子猶大。
|
26 Jesus2424 answered,611 He1565 it is,2076 to whom3739 I1473 shall give1929 a sop,5596 when I have dipped911 it. And2532 when he had dipped1686 the3588 sop,5596 he gave1325 it to Judas2455 Iscariot,2469 the son of Simon.4613

|
27 蘸了餅［sop］以後，撒但就入了他的心。耶穌便對他說：「你所作的，快作吧。」
|
27 And2532 after3326 the3588 sop5596 Satan4567 entered1525 into1519 him.1565 Then3767 said3004 Jesus2424 unto him,846 That3739 thou doest,4160 do4160 quickly.5032

|
28 同席的人沒有一個知道是為甚麼對他說這話。
|
28 Now1161 no man3762 at the table345 knew1097 for4314 what intent5101 he spake2036 this5124 unto him.846
|
|
29 有人因猶大帶著錢袋［bag］，以為耶穌是對他說：「你去買我們過節所應用的東西；」或是叫他拿甚麼賙濟窮人。
|
29 For1063 some5100 of them thought,1380 because1893 Judas2455 had2192 the3588 bag,1101 that3754 Jesus2424 had said3004 unto him,846 Buy59 those things that3739 we have2192 need5532 of against1519 the3588 feast;1859 or,2228 that2443 he should give1325 something5100 to the3588 poor.4434

30 猶大受了那點餅，立刻就出去。那時候是夜間了。
|
30 He1565 then3767 having received2983 the3588 sop5596 went immediately out:1831 2112 and1161 it was2258 night.3571

|
31 他既出去，耶穌就說：「如今人子得了榮耀，神在人子身上也得了榮耀。
|
31 Therefore,3753 when he was gone out,1831 Jesus2424 said,3004 Now3568 is the3588 Son5207 of man444 glorified,1392 and2532 God2316 is glorified1392 in1722 him.846

|
32 神既因人子得著榮耀［If God be glorified in him］，神也［also］要因自己榮耀人子，並且要快快的榮耀他。
|
32 If1487 God2316 be glorified1392 in1722 him,846 God2316 shall also2532 glorify1392 him846 in1722 himself,1438 and2532 shall straightway2117 glorify1392 him.846
|
|
33 小子們，我還有不多的時候與你們同在；後來你們要找我，但我所去的地方你們不能到。這話我曾對猶太人說過，如今也照樣對你們說。
|
33 Little children,5040 yet2089 a little while3397 I am1510 with3326 you.5216 Ye shall seek2212 me: 3165 and2532 as2531 I said2036 unto the3588 Jews,2453 Whither3699 I1473 go,5217 ye5210 cannot1410 3756 come;2064 so2532 now737 I say3004 to you.5213

34 我賜給你們一條新命令，乃是叫你們彼此相愛；我怎樣愛你們，你們也要怎樣相愛。
|
34 A new2537 commandment1785 I give1325 unto you,5213 That2443 ye love25 one another;240 as2531 I have loved25 you,5209 that2443 ye5210 also2532 love25 one another.240
|
|
35 你們若有彼此相愛的心，眾人因此就認出你們是我的門徒了。」
|
35 By1722 this5129 shall all3956 men know1097 that3754 ye are2075 my1698 disciples,3101 if1437 ye have2192 love26 one to another.240 1722
|
|
36 西門．彼得問耶穌說：「主往哪裏去？」耶穌回答說：「我所去的地方，你現在不能跟我去，後來你［thou］卻要跟我去。」
|
36 Simon4613 Peter4074 said3004 unto him,846 Lord,2962 whither4226 goest5217 thou? Jesus2424 answered611 him,846 Whither3699 I go,5217 thou canst1410 not3756 follow190 me3427 now;3568 but1161 thou shalt follow190 me3427 afterwards.5305

37 彼得說：「主啊，我為甚麼現在不能跟你去？我願意為你捨命。」
|
37 Peter4074 said3004 unto him,846 Lord,2962 why1302 cannot1410 3756 I follow190 thee4671 now?737 I will lay down5087 my3450 life5590 for thy sake.5228 4675

|
38 耶穌說：「你願意為我捨命嗎？我實實在在的告訴你，雞叫以先，你要三次不認我。」
|
38 Jesus2424 answered611 him,846 Wilt thou lay down5087 thy4675 life5590 for my sake?5228 1700 Verily,281 verily,281 I say3004 unto thee,4671 The cock220 shall not3364 crow,5455 till2193 3757 thou hast denied533 me3165 thrice.5151
