第45章

1 猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬第四年，尼利亞的兒子巴錄將先知耶利米口中所說的話寫在書上。耶利米說：

2 「巴錄啊，耶和華─以色列的神對你［unto thee］如此［Thus］說：

3 你［Thou］曾說：『我現在有禍了［Woe is me now］。耶和華將憂苦［grief］加在我的憂愁［sorrow］上，我在歎息中發昏［fainted in my sighing］，不得安歇。』

4 你要這樣告訴他，耶和華這樣說［The LORD saith thus］：看哪［Behold］，我所建立的，我必拆毀；我所栽植的，我必拔出；在這［this］全地我都如此行。

5 你為自己圖謀大事嗎？不要圖謀；看哪［behold］，因［for］我必使災禍臨到凡有血氣的。但你無論往哪裏去，我必使你以自己的命為掠物。這是耶和華說的。」

1 THE word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah; when he wrote these words on a scroll as Jeremiah dictated, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,

2 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning you, O Baruch:

3 You said. Woe is me! for the LORD has added grief to my sorrow; I am weary in my sighing and I find no rest.

4 Thus shall you say to him: Thus says the LORD: Behold that which you have built I will break down, and that which you have planted I will pluck up. I am laying waste the whole land.

5 And as for you who once sought great things for yourself, seek nothing that is of great value: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, says the LORD, but I will let you save your life in all countries where you go.
