1 Now1161 the feast1859 of unleavened106 bread drew near,1448 which is called3004 the Passover.3957

2 And the chief749 priests749 and scribes1122 sought2212 how4459 they might kill337 him; for they feared5399 the people.2992

3 Then1161 entered1525 Satan4567 into1519 Judas2455 surnamed1941 Iscariot,2469 being5607 of the number706 of the twelve.1427

4 And he went565 his way, and communed4814 with the chief749 priests749 and captains,4755 how4459 he might betray3860 him to them.

5 And they were glad,5463 and covenanted4934 to give1325 him money.694

6 And he promised,1843 and sought2212 opportunity2120 to betray3860 him to them in the absence817 of the multitude.3793

7 Then1161 came2064 the day2250 of unleavened106 bread, when1722 3739 the passover3957 must1163 be killed.2380

9 And they said2036 to him, Where4226 will2309 you that we prepare?2090

15 And he said2036 to them, With desire1939 I have desired1937 to eat5315 this5124 passover3957 with you before4253 I suffer:3958

17 And he took1209 the cup,4221 and gave thanks,2168 and said,2036 Take2983 this,5124 and divide1266 it among yourselves:1438

18 For I say3004 to you, I will not drink4095 of the fruit1081 of the vine,288 until2193 the kingdom932 of God2316 shall come.2064

19 And he took2983 bread,740 and gave thanks,2168 and broke2806 it, and gave1325 to them, saying,3004 This5124 is my body4983 which3588 is given1325 for you: this5124 do4160 in remembrance364 of me.

20 Likewise5615 also2532 the cup4221 after3326 supper,1172 saying,3004 This5124 cup4221 is the new2537 testament1242 in my blood,129 which3588 is shed1632 for you.

21 But, behold,2400 the hand5495 of him that betrays3860 me is with me on1909 the table.5132

22 And truly3303 the Son5207 of man444 goes,4198 as it was determined:3724 but woe3759 to that man444 by whom3739 he is betrayed!3860

23 And they began756 to inquire4802 among4314 themselves,1438 which5101 of them it was that should3195 do4238 this5124 thing.

24 And there was also2532 a strife5379 among1722 them, which5101 of them should be accounted1380 the greatest.3187

25 And he said2036 to them, The kings935 of the Gentiles1484 exercise2961 lordship2961 over them; and they that exercise1850 authority1850 on them are called2564 benefactors.2110

26 But you shall not be so:3779 but he that is greatest3187 among1722 you, let him be as the younger;3501 and he that is chief,2233 as he that does serve.1247

27 For whether5101 is greater,3187 he that sits345 at345 meat, or2228 he that serves?1247 is not he that sits345 at345 meat? but I am1510 among1722 3319 you as he that serves.1247

28 You are they which have continued1265 with me in my temptations.3986

29 And I appoint1303 to you a kingdom,932 as my Father3962 has appointed1303 to me;

31 And the Lord2962 said,2036 Simon,4613 Simon,4613 behold,2400 Satan4567 has desired1809 to have you, that he may sift4617 you as wheat:4621

32 But I have prayed1189 for you, that your faith4102 fail1587 not: and when4218 you are converted,1994 strengthen4741 your brothers.80

33 And he said2036 to him, Lord,2962 I am1510 ready2092 to go4198 with you, both2532 into1519 prison,5438 and to death.2288

34 And he said,3004 I tell3004 you, Peter,4074 the cock220 shall not crow5455 this4594 day,4594 before4250 2228 that you shall thrice5151 deny533 that you know1492 me.

35 And he said2036 to them, When3753 I sent649 you without817 purse,905 and money,4082 and shoes,5266 lacked5302 you any5100 thing? And they said,2036 Nothing.3762

36 Then3767 said2036 he to them, But now,3568 he that has2192 a purse,905 let him take142 it, and likewise3668 his money:4082 and he that has2192 no3361 sword,3162 let him sell4453 his garment,2440 and buy59 one.

37 For I say3004 to you, that this5124 that is written1125 must1163 yet2089 be accomplished5055 in me, And he was reckoned3049 among3326 the transgressors:459 for the things concerning4012 me have2192 an end.5056

38 And they said,2036 Lord,2962 behold,2400 here5602 are two1417 swords.3162 And he said2036 to them, It is enough.2425

39 And he came1831 out, and went,4198 as he was wont,2596 1485 to the mount3735 of Olives;1636 and his disciples3101 also2532 followed190 him.

40 And when he was at1909 the place,5117 he said2036 to them, Pray4336 that you enter1525 not into1519 temptation.3986

17 遂取杯祝謝曰、將此分爾衆、

44 耶穌憯怛、祈禱愈切、汗如滴血下地、

45 And when he rose450 up from prayer,4335 and was come2064 to his disciples,3101 he found2147 them sleeping2837 for sorrow,3077

45 禱畢而起、至門徒所、見其憂甚、假寐、

46 And said2036 to them, Why5101 sleep2518 you? rise450 and pray,4336 lest2443 3361 you enter1525 into1519 temptation.3986

46 謂之曰、何寢也、且起祈禱、免入誘惑、〇

47 言時、衆至、十二門徒之猶大、趨就耶穌、接吻之、

48 But Jesus2424 said2036 to him, Judas,2455 betray3860 you the Son5207 of man444 with a kiss?5370

48 耶穌曰、猶大、爾以接吻賣人子乎、

49 When they which were about4012 him saw1492 what3588 would follow,2071 they said2036 to him, Lord,2962 shall we smite3960 with the sword?3162

49 左右見事將及、曰、主、以刀擊之可否、

50 And one1520 of them smote3960 the servant1401 of the high749 priest,749 and cut851 off851 his right1188 ear.3775

50 中一人擊祭司長僕、削右耳、

51 耶穌曰、事至此、聽之、遂捫其耳醫焉、

52 耶穌語來攻之祭司諸長、殿庶、司長老、曰、爾來以刃與梃、若禦寇乎、

54 衆執耶穌、曳於祭司長家、彼得遠從、

55 院中有人、燃火同坐、彼得與焉、

56 有婢見彼得坐向火、注目視之曰、此人亦偕耶穌、

57 And he denied720 him, saying,3004 Woman,1135 I know1492 him not.

57 彼得不承、謂婢曰、我不識之、

58 有頃、又一人見之曰、爾亦其黨、彼得曰、非也、

59 片時、復一人力言曰、此人實偕之、蓋加利利人也、

60 彼得曰、爾所言、我不識也、言時、雞嗚矣、

61 主顧彼得、彼得憶主言、鷄鳴之先、將三言不識我、

62 And Peter4074 went1831 out, and wept2799 bitterly.4090

62 遂出痛哭云、〇

63 執耶穌者戲而扑之、

64 掩其面批而問曰、試言擊爾者誰、

65 更以多端誚耶穌、〇

66 And as soon as it was day,2250 the elders4244 of the people2992 and the chief749 priests749 and the scribes1122 came4863 together,4863 and led321 him into1519 their council,4892 saying,3004

66 平旦、民之長老、祭司諸長、士子皆集、曳耶穌至公會、

67 Are1488 you the Christ?5547 tell2036 us. And he said2036 to them, If1437 I tell2036 you, you will not believe:4100

67 曰、爾誠基督、明以告我、曰我告爾、爾不信、

68 And if1437 I also2532 ask2065 you, you will not answer611 me, nor2228 let630 me go.630

68 詰爾、爾不應、又不我釋、

69 Hereafter575 3568 shall the Son5207 of man444 sit2521 on1537 the right1188 hand of the power1411 of God.2316

69 此後人子將坐大權上帝右矣、

70 Then1161 said5346 they all,3956 Are1488 you then3767 the Son5207 of God?2316 And he said2036 to them, You say3004 that I am.1510

70 僉曰、然則爾上帝子乎、曰、爾言是也、

71 衆曰、何用別證、卽其所言、我聽之矣、
